Hostel Bratislava — Hotel in Bratislava

We almost had a nice stay at this hostel with clean rooms and a well equipped kitchen but the last day completely destroyed our good impression. On the first day we thought it was a nice and small place and up until our last day it was all friendly and peaceful. The family of my girlfriend and I had stayed for three nights and basically spent most of our days outside. Only on our last day we wanted to chill there for a while until our bus left and thought it was quite a usual thing to do in a hostel when we experienced the owner’s true idea of hospitality. They have a friendly facade but just want to make as much money as possible. They don’t care about the people that are staying at their place. We are all quite experienced travellers and never have experienced anything like that. We wanted to store our bags for a little longer and already with this inquiry the son was pulling a face. When coming back to pick up the bags, we wanted to use the toilet for a last time and ten head off. This apparently was not liked and I was honestly asked whether I have no decency to use the bathroom again. “It has been cleaned already for other guests and check out was at ten.” Please note that we didn’t use a private bathroom on one of our rooms but the shared bathroom on the common area. Never will I come back to this place again in my life! Absolute failure...

We stayed for two nights. The owners were friendly and helpful. Modern interior, our room was very clean and and the shared bathroom was cleaned often. Don't be deterred by the building's look from the outside, we felt very safe during our stay. Close to the next tram station and a Lidl. Rooms get a little hot in the summer and the walls are not perfectly soundproofed, but all in all we recommend Hostel Bratislava for...

The whole building looks like a storage facility turned into a hostel, you cannot really see that on the pictures. The bathrooms are shared even though it is not directly specified. The walls and doors are so thin that you can hear people talking, snoring (and many other things) in different rooms. Overall a very bad experience even...
