Worst experience in a hotel/hostel ever.

When I arrived the guy in reception straight away was yelling at me asking for covid test. What is actually not mandatory and it is not written in their website. I understand that we have to be really carefully with this virus and all of us should be responsible of ourselves and try to be respectful with others.

Im from a country in a red list for corona virus in Slovakia so I understand the extra actions from hotels for people from these countries. But it is not applicable for me because I am living and working in Bratislava ( Same country, and i had some documents to prove that I worked in Bratislava ) and I didnt left the country in the whole year. I had decided to go holidays inside the Slovak territory just to avoid the virus.

The guy in reception didnt let me explain myself. He was just angry asking me to leave. And to be honest, I dont mind if they dont want to host me, the problem is the angry way to do from this guy. He didnt wanna talk to me, saying that he didnt speak English but he understand everything that I said. After 5 hours train, it is not the welcome that I was waiting. If they are not going to let me stay maybe they could say it before let me going there. Thanks god I could find something else for the same price and better location.

If you want a glimpse into past socialist Slovakia, while enjoying a comfortable accommodation on a budget, this is a great place to start. What appears to be an old university dorm building that was privatized and renovated into a hotel, you can get a glimpse of what student living was like some decades ago in Kosice. In fact, I believe it's still part of the university today. ||The beds were very comfortable (better than most hotels I've stayed in), the room was clean and spacious (2 single beds in my room), and bath was great - all for $25, that included a small breakfast down in the lobby area. I arrived with my guide to witness a 60th birthday party with traditional Slovakian musicians playing in the breakfast room, and it immediately brought a smile. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and were a pleasure to stay with. ||Location is 10 minutes walk from historic city center, and well worth considering if you want nice accommodations on a budget in Kosice. Отель, переоборудованный из общежития, для желающих сэкономить, но при этом иметь отдельную комнату с индивидуальным санузлом.||С одной стороны, минимальный сервис и низкие, по меркам Европы, цены, с другой стороны, в номере есть всё необходимое: довольно удобная кровать и матрац, чистое постельное бельё, шкаф для одежды, телевизор, холодильник и полноценный санузел. Горячая вода круглосуточно. Сам номер просторный, есть стол и диван. Не могло не порадовать присутствие высокоскоростного и бесплатного (!) интернета.||Ещё один плюс – отличное расположение гостиницы: 3 минуты пешком до ближайшего супермаркета, 5 минут до торгового центра, 7 минут до центра города и Рождественской ярмарки.||Из минусов.||1) Завтрак начинается в 6:30, выбор блюд шведского стола чрезвычайно ограничен и если вы не хотите жевать один хлеб с чаем, необходимо быть строго к этому времени. Иначе всё съедят до вас.||2) В корридорах и на 1 этаже в холле часто присутствуют «чудесные» запахи из канализации.||3) Если вы зайдёте на свой этаж и погрузитесь в полную темноту – не удивляйтесь, это экономия электроэнергии и борьба с разрушением озонового слоя атмосферы! Не пытайтесь найти выключатель – это бесполезно. Смело включайте на телефоне фонарик и ищите свою дверь, а в ней – замочную скважину. Северная Корея, со своей экономией, отдыхает: во время моего там пребывания в прошлом году ничего подобного я не видел ни разу.||4) Слышимость в номерах такая, что без труда можно послушать телефонный разговор соседа за стенкой.||5) Персонал плохо владеет иностранными языками, но всё же, не без труда, вы сможете объясниться с ним по-английски.||И тем не менее, несмотря на минусы, я ставлю весьма приличную оценку этому отелю.
