Gloria palace — Hotel in Košice

We were booked at Gloria Palac by a Polish cycle touring company. We stayed one night and enjoyed a spacious and comfy room and an excellent breakfast. What really stands out is the service we received from the receptionist, Natalja. The morning of our departure my husband was feeling very unwell and knew he could not cycle the next stage. I asked her about trains and she printed a timetable for me and explained that there was no train until the evening. She then arranged for us to ride with our luggage to the next hotel. The young man who drove us also organized for our bikes to be transported later. These two young people showed great compassion and really helped us out. Rooms: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The rooms are good, spacious. Clean sheets. Our room did not have an AC, only a standing fan. It was winter, and we did not need that. Our bathroom exhaust fan didn't work.

Price 💸: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Value for money, undeniably.

Location 📍: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A 10 minutes walk to Dóm svätej Alžbety, and just across the street from Aupark Mall. Couldn't be any better.

Service 🛎️: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Professional, and the receptionist spoke English. We arrived 1½ hours before the check-in time, and we were conveniently accommodated.

Restaurant 🍛: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Breakfast is included, and tastes good, although with limited choices. The restaurant is elegant looking, with comfortable seats.

Wi-Fi 🛜 speed: ⭐⭐ I received an average speed of 2.6 Mbps...

Don't expect too much for the price you pay, but it is enough for 1 of 2 nights. The hotel is quite old. You can realize it once you enter in it but it is more remarkable in the rooms, with old furniture and facilities. ||||Breakfast is very simple but OK for a 3 stars hotel. The only big contra I see is that the hotel is very very noisy. In fact, on one saturday night we were there, there was a wedding in the ground floor and even if we were on the third floor we heard the music, the voices and so on during the night. ||||Another great thing is the location, in front of a mall and very close to the city center (5 minutes) and the bus stop to take the bus back to the airport...
