Overall, our experience here was not great. Upon arrival we were given the key and directed to the unit, but were given essentially no other information aside from the location of the grocery store. We rented apartment 5 for two nights. The apartment was clean/in average repair for the most part (some mildew in the shower, cracking paint), but old and worn looking. The grounds around the home looked cluttered. There is a steep multi step staircase up to the apartment. The bathroom was small with separate shower and toilet areas next to one another. There was a key to enter and you needed to use that same key to lock the door, yet there is a glass window that anyone could punch a hole through and then let themselves into the apartment unless you removed the key from the door and locked yourself in (safety concern for me). Beware of the thresholds in the apartment between the rooms as several stick up (injured my foot on one). I was able to hear some noise from another part of the building during the night. In general the area is beautiful, but if I ever returned I’d seek a different...
Read moreThe only good things about this accomodation are: location and location! The house surroundings are just perfect for a vacation - the mountain views, the river passing through the village, small waterfalls...and then you step inside the house. The owner lives in the ground floor and the reception desk is in the hallway (a very messy hallway with scattered things all around). Very bad first impression. Tight and creaky stairs led us to our room on the second floor. Everything looked so old with the furniture all mismatched. The biggest problem in our room (No. 5) was the big bed bearly fitting between the walls leaving us like a 30 cm wide space to get to the balcony. But the worst thing of all was definitely the shared shower. Too small, old, without any space for a vanity case or some clothes, with a small hole on top of the wall that connects it to the toilet because the shower has no window or ventilation system. Ok for a sleepover but not...
Read moreWe had a great time at Ceklin! We rented the two bedroom apartment for 2 nights and it was perfect. The location was close to everything for activities at lake Bled, and the free bikes made it so that we did not have to use our car all the time (which was parked on their own property, very convenient).
The apartment itself was simple but had everything we needed, good beds, good shower and a kitchen/dining room to make our own breakfast. It's a little old but that does make it extra charming.
Helena was a very friendly host that helped us whenever anything was needed, she made sure our stay was pleasant and easy. The family owning the place lives in the main house (apartment is an extension) so they can always help, the family cat was also adorable!
Overall we had a great time at Ceklin, I would highly recommend considering them as your place to stay when at...
