Hike and Bike Chalet — Hotel in Bohinj

A beautiful and cozy cottage within walking distance of Lake Bohinj. We only spent one day here, but we wanted to stay longer because it is such a pleasant place. The cottage is spacious, has a full kitchen, and even a fireplace, which creates an incredible atmosphere. Outside the house, there is a recreation area and barbecue, which we also enjoyed using. At night, you can sleep to the sound of the mountain river if you open the windows, and in the morning you will be greeted by the magnificent landscape of this lovely mountain village. There is also a supermarket within a two-minute walk where you can buy all the food you need, which is very convenient. Our stay in Bohinj was truly unforgettable. The location is perfect surrounded by stunning views and peaceful nature, yet still very close to all the main sights. The accommodation was spotless, cozy, and well-equipped.

A special thanks to Maja, the host, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. She was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. We had to leave early in the morning and although breakfast was included for later, she prepared a generous spread tailored to our preferences so thoughtful and full of variety. Stara Fuzina is the most beautiful village to stay near to Lake Bohinj - just a 15 minutes walk through a stunning meadow to the lake and the best (quieter) beaches. The chalet is cosy and well equipped with a wonderful outside area shaded from the sun where you can sit and watch the world go by. Maja and Grega are generous hosts who will provide advice if you ask it but also leave you alone. We had a magical 4 nights as a family of five with young adults who were happy to do very little whilst we got up early to hike/bike/swim. Perfectly situated and a wonderful start to our holiday...
