Just like most guests have already mentioned in their review, the Hotel is located very convenient right in the center (old town) of the city. On food you can leave the Hotel and stroll through the streets of the town and enjoy one of many bars with seating areas outside (I am talking about summer time :)). Yes, the parking is an issue and if you are lucky -and your car not tooooo big- you will get one of only few parking lots behind the hotel that are not easy to find and only can be reached using some very narrow streets behind the Hotel. The Reception is open 24/7 and the staff was helpful. Not the most friendly person in town but maybe it was just not their day :). Now the room I had was very big and the windows were facing to the rear of the Hotel. It was not noisy and I did not hear any traffic or street noises. There was a small sofa in the room that can also be used as a additional bed and it was enough room to dance around. Unfortunately the interior was not very well decorated and it would be worth hiring someone with and eye for some details that will make the guests enjoy the rooms more. The bed was clean and comfy and the AC was working OK. The bathroom was also quit big and in my case did not show any problems with molt or dirt. Everything was in working order and I can recommend the place. Should you be staying there and you have some spare time, make sure to visit the big castle just outside of town! Very nice place and gives you a great view of the...
Read moreNew and recently renovated structure, in an excellent location and with great potential. However, questionable management. Friendly but clearly understaffed staff, only one person at a time in reception, catering services without waiters, not even time to stop and ask you if you need to sit at a table (half of the tables empty and already set). The restaurants serve modest quality food compared to the restaurants immediately outside the hotel, so you no longer go to the in-house restaurant to eat. Dog owners are only entitled to simple, microscopic rooms! This is the sore point, if one wanted a higher level room or a suite they should be able to have it (like in any other hotel that accepts well-behaved pets). In a microscopic room with dogs and a couple of suitcases it is impossible to stay. The parking is not very convenient or even large but still available if you are lucky enough to find it free. Install a doorbell for exiting/entering or a room card reader. Let's hope it improves, I repeat, great...
Read moreOn our vacation we came to sit outside with our 2 years old son. He had ice cream and he lost his spoon. We ordered drinks for all of us (and also wanted food for later) and I asked politely for a spoon for him. The waiter told me that we can’t do this: to come sit with the ice cream that was not bought at their bar (I didn’t even knew they serve ice cream). I asked him if he wanted us to leave and he was quiet and letting us know with his body language that his answer is yes. So I said ok, we are leaving and that this has not happened to me anywhere else (he just said: “that’s the way it is”). I am really disappointed, specially because this was suppose to be a 4 star hotel. You will never see us again and sadly a lot of Slovenians also have a bad...
