Hotel garni Paleta — Hotel in Skofja Loka

This is a splendid little place, overlooking the river Sora, in Skofia Loka. Unlike some of the B&Bs we've reviewed the Hotel Garni Paleta is not hard to find. In fact you absolutely can't miss it as you drive down to the river. You can put your car into the little alley next to the Hotel to offload luggage. Hotel parking is close by.||||This place has been developed out of his former family home by Igor, your host. Our room was clean, bright and modern, and overlooked the river. Its twin beds were on a mezzanine level, reached by a steep little spiral ladder. Cooling and wifi were both excellent.||||Breakfast is served in the newly refurbished former wine vault which also has river views. It was Continental, with excellent coffee, various breads, cheese and meats, and some fruit.||||We really cannot fault this B&B, and thoroughly recommend it. ||LA SITUATION GÉOGRAPHIQUE||----------||L'hôtel est idéalement situé au coeur de Skofja Loka, dans une ruelle au calme mais à moins de 2 minutes à pied de la place centrale de la ville. Bref c'est l'endroit idéal si vous voulez visiter la ville ou même si c'est juste une étape. Supermarchés et restaurants à proximité, tout se fait à pied avec la voiture qui reste au parking.||||L'HOTEL ET L'ACCUEIL||----------||L'hôtel se trouve dans un joli bâtiment, certainement classé, au bord de la rivière. Hôtel à la décoration sobre, on se croirait plus dans une maison d'hôtes que dans un hôtel.||Accueil très sympathique, même si arrivée tardive.||||LA CHAMBRE||----------||Chambre spacieuse et propre, bien équipé avec rangements, TV, climatisation, chaise et petite table. La literie est propre et confortable. Rien à redire également dans la salle de bain tout aussi propre, serviettes et produits fournis.||L'insonorisation est bonne, l'environnement extérieur étant calme la nuit, on passe une bonne nuit.||||LA RESTAURATION||----------||Un service de petit déjeuner est proposé qui se prend dans la salle principale de restauration. Il s'agit d'un service à table avec une bonne variété : pain, confiture, patisserie locale, assiette de charcuterie et de fromage, yaourt, boissons etc. Le propriétaire vous propose de vous resservir sans problème si vous voulez du surplus. Ce n'est pas un petit déjeuner exceptionnel mais c'est bon et suffisant pour attaquer la journée.||||LE PRIX ET LES SERVICES||----------||Le rapport qualité/prix est très bon, également au vu des prestations.||L'hôtel dispose d'un parking privé, il faudra juste marcher 100m pour l'atteindre, et on peut même laisser la voiture si on veut visiter la ville le lendemain matin du séjour.||Le wifi est gratuit et fonctionne très bien.||Nombreuses informations sur les attractions à faire aux alentours.||||EN RÉSUMÉ||----------||Dans le top des hôtels de la ville. This was my favorite stay during my vacation in Slovenia. Igor, the owner, puts a lot of care into the property and the comfort of his guests. If you love history, charm and a cozy stay, Hotel Garni is the place for you. Rooms were impeccably clean, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and featured local baked goods. Location was fantastic. Igor goes above and beyond giving a personal touch to the experience. We learned so much from him about the local area and history of the region. He also gave us incredible tips on hidden gems to explore....
