My experience with this hostel was shockingly unprofessional. Before my arrival, I asked about early check-in and was told that rooms would be ready around 12:00. When I returned at 1:30 PM, the man at reception (with a beard, who introduced himself as the owner) rudely waved me off with his hand, saying ‘No, absolutely not ready yet.’||||When I reminded him that he had told me 12:00, he simply pointed to a sign that said check-in is at 14:00. If I had been clearly told from the start ‘absolutely no check-in before 14:00,’ I would not have wasted my time.||||Even worse, his language was shockingly disrespectful. He said things like ‘Who are you?!’, ‘Are you my boss?’ and even ‘Are you the police?’. Such words are unacceptable from anyone, let alone someone claiming to be the owner of a hospitality business. Finally, he dismissed me with ‘Then don’t stay, cancel and I’ll refund you.’||||This behavior is unacceptable. There was no smile, no respect, and no sense of hospitality. Tolle Unterkunft für Jugendgruppen – absolut empfehlenswert!

Wir waren mit einer Jugend-Basketballmannschaft (22 Kinder und 5 Betreuer) für ein Trainingslager in Portorož und haben im Hostel übernachtet – eine durchweg positive Erfahrung!

Bereits im Vorfeld war die Kommunikation unkompliziert, vor Ort wurden wir herzlich vom Inhaber empfangen, der sich während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts sehr gastfreundlich und engagiert zeigte. Besonders hervorzuheben ist, dass er ein Tischkicker-Turnier für die Kinder organisiert hat, was ein echtes Highlight war und für viel Freude sorgte.

Die Unterkunft selbst ist bestens für Gruppen geeignet: Die Zimmer waren sauber, funktional und für die Kinder sehr angenehm. Auch das kulinarische Angebot hat uns überzeugt – sowohl Frühstück als auch Abendessen waren lecker, abwechslungsreich und kindgerecht. Alle Kinder waren zufrieden, was für uns als Betreuer besonders wichtig war.

Ein weiterer großer Pluspunkt ist die Lage des Hostels: Nur wenige Gehminuten zum Strand sowie zu einem Supermarkt – ideal für eine Sportgruppe, die kurze Wege und Freizeitmöglichkeiten zu schätzen weiß.

Alles in allem: ein rundum gelungener Aufenthalt. Wir können das Hostel uneingeschränkt für Jugendgruppen empfehlen und schließen eine Rückkehr für künftige Trainingslager definitiv nicht aus!

We stayed at the hostel with a youth basketball team (22 children and 5 adults) for a training camp in Portorož – and it was a thoroughly positive experience!

Even before our arrival, communication was smooth and uncomplicated. On-site, we were warmly welcomed by the owner, who was exceptionally hospitable and supportive throughout our stay. A particular highlight was the table football tournament he organized for the kids – a great gesture that brought lots of joy.

The accommodation is very well-suited for groups: the rooms were clean, functional, and comfortable for the children. The food service also impressed us – both breakfast and dinner were tasty, varied, and well-suited to younger guests. All the kids were happy, which was especially important to us as supervisors.

Another major advantage is the hostel’s location: just a few minutes’ walk from the beach and a nearby supermarket – ideal for a sports group that values convenience and easy access to leisure activities.

I was with my two dogs and finding a place last minute can be very difficult. I call them and the girl was so very nice! Check in was fast and again the receptionist was just lovely. I don’t know her name, but she deserves it all. We had air conditioner in the room, no need to say how amazing this was, especially for my dogs! In general everything was clean and nice.
