We were going here for lunch or supper from 2014 on (nearly 10 years), because it is close to Marina Portorož where we have our boat and food are quite OK. 25.5.2023 was our last time eating there. The owner is really rude, disrespectful persons, so are the staff who stay working there. All respectful and kind staff resigned. Now al team treat customer like prisoner not as the quest. Last time I asked for a glass of warm tap water (an on some diet) and was refused. So I ordered a bottle of water and asked to warm it up. Again I was refused. When I explain to the owner how bad is this attitude to the quest and how I fell after 10 years of permanently visiting this restaurant and that I am on my way not to come here anymore, he violently took the ordered bottle of water from our table and said, you are not welcome here, go away. We are lucky we have a good restaurant Vezuvio just a 100m away from this place ;-) In 10 minutes drive distance there is a Beli Križ restaurant where the owner brings you a glass of marmalade after your permanent one week visiting...

My favorite restaurant on the planet. I don't live in Slovenia but I recently took 6 days vacation in Portoroz just so I can eat the amazing seafood this restaurant serves. So much better quality and cheaper than anywhere else in Europe. And the food quality hasn't changed in 20 years! Keep up the great work, Bojan! Edit 2 years later: Today, after more than 20 years visiting this restaurant, it happened for the first time that Bojan didn't want to recognize me, and refused to make my usual dish (half and half pizza) that I have been ordering here since it cost one third of the price it costs today. Die Pizzeria Zlato Sidro liegt äußerst günstig und ist für einen abendlichen Besuch bequem zu Fuß erreichbar. Aufgrund der Beliebtheit des Restaurants empfiehlt es sich, im Voraus zu reservieren, um sicher einen Platz zu bekommen. Die Kommunikation gestaltet sich angenehm, da die meisten Mitarbeiter fließend Deutsch sprechen, was die Reservierung und den Aufenthalt sehr unkompliziert macht.

Wir haben die Pizzeria mehrmals besucht und waren jedes Mal begeistert. Besonders auffällig ist die hohe Nachfrage, die sich darin zeigt, dass sich am Eingang regelmäßig eine Schlange bildet. Das spricht für die Qualität des Restaurants. Die Kellner sind durchweg freundlich und aufmerksam, was im Vergleich zu anderen Lokalen in Portorož nicht selbstverständlich ist.

Das Essen hat uns jedes Mal hervorragend geschmeckt. Die Speisekarte ist vielfältig und bietet eine gute Auswahl an Gerichten. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das Rinder-Carpaccio, das als Vorspeise sehr zu empfehlen ist. Auch die Fischgerichte und Pastaspezialitäten haben uns überzeugt. Die Pizzen sind ebenfalls ein Highlight, wenngleich die Auswahl etwas unübersichtlich sein kann. Für Kinder gibt es zudem passende Alternativen auf der Speisekarte.

Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt, und wir haben jedes Mal sehr gut gegessen. Insgesamt können wir die Pizzeria Zlato Sidro uneingeschränkt empfehlen – ein Besuch lohnt sich...
