Gabbys Cottage Guesthouse — Hotel in Bayswater

As close to perfection as one could find in a guesthouse. From the minute we arrived we were warmly welcomed by Pedro who we could not thank enough for all that she has done. We were travelling with our 6 months old husky who could not have been happier. Pedro was kind enough to spend some time playing with our little puppy and shared some of the best advice with us. Our little pup left with some nutritional food and snacks all gifted by Pedro. He certainly had a blast and could not stop roaming around the beautiful garden.

One of our favourite features about this place was the magnificent attention to detail. The cottages are filled with thoughtful personal touches to accommodate anyone and everyone. This place has by far exceeded our expectations and we so badly wish we could’ve spent some more time there but definitely look forward to returning in the new year. It is highly evident that much love and consideration has gone into making this a place one can call a home away from home. The cottage is engulfed in nature with the most beautiful garden which we have come to admire so much. This place has everything you could possibly ask for. We were stunned by the little details such as bluetooth lights, sewing kits and cosmetics items which one would not find at any other guesthouses so we truly appreciated their attention to detail and willingness to accommodate everyone’s needs. They certainly have a passion for what they do and they will most definitely be seeing us again...

Pure Perfection – Gabby Guest House Gabby Guest House is an absolute gem. From the moment I arrived, I felt like I had stepped into a peaceful holiday retreat. The cottage is unbelievably quaint, fresh, and immaculately clean — it even smelled amazing. Every inch of the space is thoughtfully designed with stunning décor that creates the perfect blend of charm and elegance. You can tell so much love and care has gone into every detail.

The bedding alone felt like pure luxury — soft, high-quality linens that made it hard to leave the bed in the morning. Only the best! The cottage is stocked with everything you could possibly need and more — even cotton pads and makeup remover wipes, which was such a thoughtful surprise.

The location is perfect, and just sitting outside with a cup of coffee felt like a little escape from the world. And the hosts? Absolutely incredible. So friendly, warm, and truly the nicest people you’ll ever meet. They went out of their way to make sure I felt comfortable and had everything I needed — incredibly accommodating from start to finish.

Where to start with this Review - WOW! We accidentally stumbled upon this hidden gem earlier this year & have been coming back whenever we have business in Bloemfontein (every single time) - there is NO other guesthouse in Bloemfontein we would call home! It is situated 1 minute from the Northridge Mall & is super close to the N1 highway. The owners managed to turn the 3 self-catering units into a little slice of heaven where one can relax & forget about all the craziness of city life! Everything one needs in your everyday household, has been brought into consideration when the owners decorated each unit (e.g. scissors, cotton wool pads, make up remover, sewing kit etc.)! The ONLY thing we would like as an “add on service” would be to serve guests Dinner, due to the fact that we work until late in the evenings - it will help a lot not to have to worry about ordering food and/or getting take aways when we finish with clients.
