This is a hotel where you intend on spending as little time as possible. Just sleep, shower and go. You need to know what you are paying for. On check-in, not much information is volunteered by the receptionist. We needed to ask how breakfast, wifi and parking worked. Breakfast is not included. Although they say wifi is available (and it is), it doesn't reach every room. I was unfortunate enough to learn this the hard way. The streets are very dirty with smell of weed at times, and even if it safe, I didn't get that feeling. You will have to park in the parking garage around the corner of the hotel, which means you need to walk in that side street to get to your car. The parking garage closes at 10.30pm each day and costs R50 per day. The passageways of the hotel has a wet carpet / wet dog smell. My room itself had old furniture and broken window frames. The bedside lamps had no bulbs in it. Also, no remote for the TV and when we asked, we got a remote without a battery cover and eventually got a proper remote. The bathroom has lose fittings and rusted metal rails. The shower is one in a bath with glass sliding door on the bath. Plug points are only available on the ground under the fridge stand requiring using the kettle and chargers on the ground. The kettle blew with a spark of fire on the second night and a new kettle was eventually brought to us. On the last day, house keeping didn't leave any towels and when we called for towels, we were told that house keeping had left for the day and we couldn't be helped. On the positive side, the view of the city centre is good from the top floor and the aircon in the room is...

The rooms smelled stale and had no towels, the bathroom was so dirty I had to ask for them to clean it. Dirty carpets, curtains falling off rails, stained furniture. No cups or kettle in the room – I had to ask.||NO PARKING, you must park your car on the street or in n parking area situated in a dark alley – you need to walk past the two bars/shebeens – very unsafe and dangerous.||The area is not very safe. Beggars and drunk people harassing you as you get out of your vehicle. ||We had to stay as we paid, but we couldn’t leave early enough the next day. Cheap price on booking.com & Tripadvisor - and now we understand why. Horrible place. ||Management could not be bothered about your request or complaint. ||I was very disappointed with my booking.
