Ocean Dreams B&B — Hotel in Eastern Cape

We arrived in Gonubie, East London as my husband was competing in his first Iron man 70.3 event. We search for accommodation as early as April 2014 as East London accommodation gets fully booked rather quickly as this event attracts thousands of competitors and their families.||||Ocean Dreams was the only Bed and Breakfast available that could take all 5 couples that were traveling with us. We took a chance and booked based on what we saw on the internet.||||Antoinette and her husband have a wonderful B&B. It is very clean and certain units have air-conditioning whilst the other did not require it as a natural breeze past through and those units were very cool. The other is a self catering unit with a lovely kitchen. Breakfast for the 3 days was amazing and the hospitality we received was superb.||||The walks to the beach were fantastic (short) with a nice little coffee shop around the corner.||||I would definitely return to Ocean Dreams and highly recommend this as...

I don't know what we paid here but I'm sure it was worth every cent.||Breakfast was tasty and freshly made but a little restricted in choice as can be expected from such a small establishment.||I could hear the sea but not see it. My colleague got the great upstairs room with massage chair 'nall. That has a spectacular view.||The bed was divine and for the first time this week I sleep through. Twice.||Although the bathroom is by no means grimy I felt it could do with a swap clean. Some algae on the ceiling and dirty in the nooks and crannies. Good quality shampoo is provided. ||There are no good restaurants that were open nearby. ||WiFi is tops.||The hosts Antoinette and Lala were very friendly and welcomed us with open arms.||We will probably be back for business but I call shotgun on the the top room.||Oh I had the full "apartment" all to myself. I have just returned from a nine day stay at Ocean Dreams. I hired the two interleading rooms (both with an ensuite shower) with an open plan kitchen/lounge area. The unit was very well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay and spotlessly clean. It was cleaned daily and it was great to return every evening to a fresh smelling, sparkling clean unit. Staff and owner were on hand to answer any queries and very friendly. The unit leads onto a decked area with a bbq/braai that was available to use and has a lovely seaview. There is also secure onsite parking. I will certainly return to this establishment when next...
