Our stay here was through Holiday Club and really only for convenience in the area. It is not our first choice naturally for a couple's getaway. The resort is neat with a few activities however most are not functional in wet weather. Our arrival at reception and welcome explanation was extremely rushed. We only met security staff for the next 4 days whom were friendly. Basic modern resort with ground floor units clustered inbetween garden pathways with sweet rabbits hopping around. Unfortunately there are no views, the location is next to the main highway so one wakes up to the sounds of traffic(heavy trucks). However it is a short drive to Plettenberg Bay town, beaches, attractions and activities and shops, which is what we needed. There is little privacy as each unit overlooks another and the units are not soundproof at all. Our 1 bedroomed unit was neat and functional with all the basics for self catering. The bed was really comfy and we enjoyed 4 good nights of rest. The towels were good, and wifi was available. We managed to time (low tide) a visit to Arch Rock at Keurbooms well to view this incredible attraction and short hike along the stunning beaches there and met some friendly locals along the way. Old Nick's, Thyme and Again Farmstall, Poortjies Beach and Raw Bakery and Cafe are all highly recommended. Further out PizaEVino at Knysna Heads is amazing for food, service and views, the Church at Brenton on Sea with its Prayer Walk is lovely, and the Farmstall at Buffels Bay entrance is always a delight.

Stunning place, really clean and neat. The rooms are big and each have either a bath or shower. Spacious lounge and modern kitchen. I really didn’t expect it to be so nice. We love to braai and every chalet has their own braai area with outside seating. There are little rabbits that roam all over the place and seem to be very used to people. The gardens and pathways are well kept. The service for the rooms, cleaning etc was impeccable. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. TV and selected dstv channels available in each chalet. This place is fantastic for kids. Has a nice pool, trampoline, tennis courts, mini golf and a bar area with pool tables for the adults. The location is just off the main road so it’s easy to get in and out. It is within close driving distance off all the major attractions inside and just outside of Plettenberg Bay I would love to go back again with more family

These hotels have no Air Conditioning! There is an overhead fan though. Seriously? no AC in Africa! The only way for any air ventilation is opening the balcony door, but then you have to deal with the mosquitoes. Secondly, it would have been nice if there was some fresh bottle of drinking water in the room. The decision is, suffer from or dehydration or diarrhea from drinking tap water. The reception was closed at night, There are no vending machines that are accessible. I'm a poor planner and didn't bring my own water. Additionally The Wi-Fi completely unreliable here and kept disconnecting. Lastly, I didn't have a shower, just a bathtub. Overall, a miserable night spent here suffocating, fighting off mosquitoes, suffocating again and dying of thirst....other than that, everything was okay. Maybe some remodeling is in order as well as everything is a bit 90s.

I should have maybe read some of these reviews instead of looking at the pictures. From the moment we stepped into our room it was unpleasant. We booked in on a Sunday afternoon, and the staff was ready to go home. We got room 43 which was freezing cold. I have kids under 5 and the amenities was relatively far from the room we got.

Its been a week and we seem to all have caught a cold. I indicated that I have little kids and the room is very cold a few moments of arriving. I was brushed off. We slept in the same bed to make sure our kids are warm. The bathroom bins need to be replaced and a good deep clean needs to happen. There are plastic bowls that are very stained.

There was some sort of room spray before we arrived, it actually smelled like cologne it was really overwhelming when we stepped in. The WIFI pin that was given didn't work. I quickly learned that if I connect to another room it worked. I even asked the reception to assist, she took my phone and said I must've added the incorrect code. Surely a 2 digit code can only be entered incorrectly so many times?

After a chilly night in our rooms, we begged the reception to find a heater, the reception again said there must be one in the room. When we returned the evening there was still no heater, after the reception said we must look properly.

The lovely gentleman that heard our complaints about the room then got us a heater later that evening. We walked by one of the ladies that cleaned and in passing she said you guys are in a very cold room. We made the best of our stay. But this was very disappointing, maybe in summer months it would be a...

Beautiful resort with very friendly and helpful staff. This is set in a great location in the Formosa Bay area. The grounds is amazing which is fitted with 2 outdoor swimming pools to die for! If that is not enough they have a state of the art trampoline which is fun for the whole family, but if that's not really your jam you can either play tennis poolside or outdoor table tennis. Wait! There is way more. Right next to the pool they have all they games you would want to play. (Something for the entire family no matter the age). They have a snooker board. They have a fuuzball board, table tennis and much more. Reception is in a central location which is also the only place you get good wifi! If you not really bothered by going without wifi then it is perfect. The apartments is neat and spacious, while they all are fitted with a braai spot. The housekeeping team is amazing! They are on paint. Grea place to book for a family as there is so much to see and do in and around the area. I will be back! FORMOSA...
