Hide-Away Guest House Knysna — Hotel in George

We arrived about an hour early and the house managers very kindly said we could go ahead and check in.|We were met at the car park with a lovely friendly greeting and the porter told us he’d take our bags to our room as it was available. (After lugging our bags around this was the most welcome greeting ever)||Amazing start! Stunning views. Lovely room with super balcony. Excellent quality towels. Beautiful add Ons - water x2 every day, tea, biscuits and coffee, dressing gown.||The guest house, as many reviews note, is just off the N2. After a few hours you don’t really pay heed to it and when in your room definitely can’t hear it.||Colleen is amazing and has a wealth of fabulous information to make your stay so enjoyable. I loved having an old-fashioned map too. Great restaurants and beach recommendations. Felt really safe and comfortable.||The pool is lovely and sunbeds relaxing.||Breakfast is a delight. We were greeted by Colleen & Cyril - professional in their service and warm hospitality... very friendly hosts who have a wealth of knowledge to share, not only of Knysna , but also other parts of South Africa. They recommended close by eateries, local attractions & sights to enjoy on our drive towards Cape Town. The downtown and Waterfront area is within walking distance. Our upgraded room was clean comfortable (modern en suite bathroom), with a picturesque view overlooking the Lagoon. We have never used an in room mini bar, but HideAway Guest House’s was so reasonable we couldn’t resist. A very nice touch is that guests have the option of having their breakfast served on their veranda or in the dining room. Wifi connection was excellent, on site secure parking & the pool looked enticing. Hide Away as a whole is very spacious - with chance to relax on lounge chairs by the pool or on the upper level. A Wonderful Stay ,Warm, Safe, and Perfect in Every Way

We had an absolutely lovely stay at this guesthouse. From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcome and comfortable. The atmosphere was warm, respectful, and inviting.

The rooms were modern, beautifully decorated, and spotlessly clean. Every detail was thoughtfully arranged to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The breakfast was freshly prepared with care and attention it ,was a delicious start to each day.

As two women traveling alone, feeling safe was very important to us, and this place truly delivered. We always felt secure and well looked after.

Collien, the host, was amazing kind , attentive, and always there when we needed something. Her heartfelt hospitality made our stay truly special. Everything was perfect, and we would return in a heartbeat.
