Narnia Guest House — Hotel in George

We’d stayed in the pool house at Narnia about 4 years ago (before they were affected by the Knysna fires), and loved it then. We stayed again now in their newly built pool house and we were absolutely blown away. For a family of 5, this house was perfect. It’s spacious, really comfortable and extremely well equipped. What really blew us away was the stunning decor and attention to detail, just beautifully done. I also loved the fact that all doors and windows were secure with discreet security bars and American shutter doors. I felt really safe at night and knew that our belongings were safe when we went out for the day. And then, the gardens! What a treat for the eye! You would never say that a fire had swept through there 2 years ago, because the gardens are just so beautiful and well established. Being on top of a hill, the views over Knysna heads and Knysna Lagoon are also incredible. I was fortunate enough to also experience some reiki for the first time from the owner’s son, James. It was a really peaceful experience, I felt as though I’d left all of my worries behind. I cannot recommend Narnia enough. We will stay there again and again whenever we’re in Knysna. Stella and Richard's place was wonderful as always. The location is ideal, offering both tranquillity and easy access to local attractions. Narnia itself is a delightful blend of homely comfort and elegant efficiency.||||The rooms were immaculately clean, spacious, and tastefully decorated, ensuring a relaxing environment. The self-catering facilities were a highlight, equipped with everything we needed to feel at home. Seit 2003 besuchen wir in unregelmäßigen Abständen Narnia und wurden nie enttäuscht. ||||Das Guest House liegt auf einem Hügel und man hat von dort eine spektakuläre Sicht über die Lagune von Knysna. Man hat hier oben die absolute Ruhe, aber ist schnell in Knysna und an anderen Attraktionen der Gardenroute. ||||Die Ferienwohnungen liegen alle getrennt voneinander auf dem großzügigen Gelände verteilt. Das Poolhaus ist mit einem großen Schlafzimmer mit Doppelbett und einem zusätzlichen Bett ausgestattet und auch der Wohn-/Koch-/Essbereich ist ausreichend groß, um längere Zeit dort zu verbringen. Unter dem riesigen Esstisch verbirgt sich ein Poolbilliardtisch. Geschirr etc. ist ausreichend vorhanden. Das Badezimmer verfügt über eine geräumige Dusche. Die Einrichtung ist insgesamt sehr individuell und geschmackvoll - ein bisschen Afrika, ein bisschen Antikes. ||Einziges Manko: es gibt keinen eigenen Grill und man muss sich den Grill am Haupthaus mit den anderen Gästen und evtl. den Gastgebern teilen, was aber in der Regel kein Problem darstellt. Die Abende kann man auf der überdachten Veranda verbringen und die Aussicht geniessen. ||||Unterhalb des Poolhauses im schön angelegten Garten befindet sich der Pool, der groß genug ist, um auch einmal ein paar Züge zu schwimmen. ||||Auf Wunsch bekommt man auch außerhalb der Hauptsaison um Weihnachten herum Frühstück, das im Haupthaus serviert wird. Es gibt immer frische Früchte und Joghurt und eine Eivariante. Super sind die Pfannkuchen mit Blaubeeren und Speck. ||||Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Freundlichkeit der Gastgeber und der Angestellten. Man kann fühlt sich wie in einer Familie. Wir kommen...
