"In Easter 2023, I stayed at North Lodge with my large extended family. It was not my choice - I contacted them after we were scammed out of R????k elsewhere. Brad told me he was fully booked but he offered us a big open-plan unit. He told me it was still being fitted out. Since were desperate for a roof over our heads for 3 more nights ( the first night we spent in the cars), I offered to pay immediately. Brad declined any deposit until I had seen the place. By the time I arrived, Brad and his friendly staff were almost done preparing sleeping room for our group of nearly 30 guests. After losing so much money, I really needed something affordable. Brad agreed to reduce his already low price by a further R2000. The place was clean, safe, well-equipped and had plenty of open space ( we had a fair number of our kids with us). We had hot showers, everything worked and we were able to get on with enjoying our seaside holiday, thanks to North Lodge and the helpful crew there. Great for big family groups. ( Why this review only now? Well, we left an expensive item of clothing behind. Brad had it washed and kept it safe for 9months! I just collected it now." I recently had the pleasure of staying at North Lodge Self-Catering in Durban during a trip to pick up a car at We Buy Cars Riverhorse. As someone traveling with a pet, I was thrilled to find that North Lodge is one of the few pet-friendly accommodations in the area. I brought my cat along, and the experience was seamless.

The host, Brad, went above and beyond to accommodate my late-night arrival, ensuring that I had a smooth check-in process despite the late hour. This level of hospitality made my stay incredibly pleasant and stress-free. The lodge itself is clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, providing everything I needed for a relaxing overnight layover before embarking on my drive back to Cape Town the next day.

My husband and I are a young couple who first paid 500 to stay at this place when we walked into the place after 2 hours of waiting at like 11 at night to get a room walked into something like a barn bags down water starts shooting out of a pipe the owner then comes and starts screaming at his workers and say oh well they dried it off and if not we can get another room but will cost more so we paid only to come to another room that didnt look any better everything about this place is terrible no towels no soap lizards and cockroaches in the room i was in i was and am still very unhappy and frustrated no person should ever go through the experience that we faced we practically were afraid if i could i wouldn't even rate this...
