La Casita Stanford — Hotel in Overstrand Local Municipality

Stayed here for 2 nights 19 & 20 Oct, our 1st time in Stanford

Lyn welcomed us and showed us our room where we were met by our furry host enjoying the sunshine

The room is big with an open plan kitchen, little lounge, shower and a big outdoor patio area which is under cover. Although the room is connected to the main house and restaurant, La Cantina, we never had any problems with noise

Stanford is small so most places are walkable and with all the fairy lights around town it felt like Christmas every night

We also enjoyed some mexican food our 2nd night and an unexpected tequila from Mark to get in the mood for the Sunday afternoon entertainment they had. A very festive vibe indeed

Parking is offroad but safe . We certainly enjoyed our stay at La Casita, a short 20mins from de kelders and Gansbaai should you wish to explore. The Panthera cat sanctuary is 10mins away, also...

The unit is true to its images. I had an overall okay stay for 3 nights. Nights were unpleasant because of heat and so many mozzies (I went start November) and there was no fan in the room. Days were challenging because the unit shares a door with the host's office, so you can pretty much hear all their convos, which took a possible day nap off the table as well. Overall, I think you're looking for a quick overnight stay in the town and not too worried about privacy or noise, this is a good stop for you.
