Table 13 — Restaurant in Overstrand Local Municipality

Once upon a time Table 13 was my “go to” evening restaurant of choice. Sadly the changes to the restaurant have not been for the better. During our three most recent visits, we are the only diners in the restaurant. Clearly we are not the only people feeling the changes. Please consider, I’m not referencing the bar at all here, but the restaurant now has the atmosphere of a typical “shibeen”. It is dark, plain and cold. Zero effort is made to make the place comfortable for patrons. Last night the waitress (awesome lady) obligingly turned down the music that was blasting away our eardrums. Unfortunately someone didn’t get the memo and turned the volume right back up again, hastening our departure prematurely. The pizza’s were really good (food quality is still top notch). Arrived and had good service until after the drinks arrived. We ordered the food with our drinks. As we waited an hour for our food. We ordered a burger crumbed mushrooms and a pizza. Our food arrived in drips and drags. As the burger came out first. We waited about 20min between each order to arrived. So saying that, the kitchen needs to make sure the food arrives at the same time and not different times. Then the gourmet milkshakes were not as great, it tasted watery and just like plain vanilla milkshakes with chocolate in. As this is not my first experience at this place. the first time i had the same experience but i gave them the benefit of the doubt. I really hope they do change some stuff around or just start to communicate to their guest and say they are quite busy and that the food will take longer...

I Austin Arendse just want to say that I have had the best service at this place because although I am always late because I come from work , but they always have the best of the best service in Town , because without them I wouldn't go to bed without a gourmet taste in my mouth , they have given me the best service by far , I just want to say that they are tops and that even on my till slip I get my name written on it ,they are the best burger and takeaway in town and they always deal with my tantrums and attitude , evens the cashiers, bartenders and kitchen staff have a great respect...
