The Inn’s website proudly states “Luxury Rooms” and “Great Food” however this is far from the truth and what is portrayed.||||We had booked one of the 2-bedroom flats and a standard room (126 and 127) for a recent stay to attend a wedding at the venue, and on arrival, after the check-in time of 14h00, found that our room was filthy and had not been cleaned yet. After travelling for well over 8-hours it was not a welcoming sight and reception could have forewarned us.||||Note that the images depicted both on the website and the Facebook page are NOT of the 2-bedroom flat, or even half the rooms offered. These appear to be the rooms in the second “horseshoe” as all those in the “first” one are not nearly as well appointed. There are no images of the older rooms which offer a grim comparison to the newer ones. Furniture with burn-holes, no bedside lamps, doors which don’t close, the list is endless.||||While waiting to have the unit cleaned, we had lunch at the Crazy Horse, which left much to be desired. Cold food, flat soft-drinks and terribly slow service.||Returning to the room after an hour or so we found that bath towels had not been provided and had to return to reception once again.||||During the night we realised that the air-conditioning unit had not been serviced as it spewed out a black mould-like substance. ||||There is no regard for guests as patrons are permitted to play music obscenely loudly all through the night. Attempting to make coffee in the morning, after no sleep, we realised that teaspoons hadn’t been provided. ||||To add insult to injury, I erroneously left a pair of shoes in the room while I rushed to pack and leave (a swarm of bees had taken over the room). When I called to ask if any of the staff had picked them up I was disappointingly told no.||||The only compliment that I will give is to the very friendly lady at reception who refunded us for the balance of our stay as we checked-out to find alternative hygienic...

My recent stay at Horseshoe Motel in Kimberley was a mixed experience—some good aspects, but also areas that could use improvement.
On the positive side, the motel is well-located and provides ample parking, which is convenient. The staff were friendly and helpful, making check-in and check-out smooth. The room itself was decently sized, and the bed was fairly comfortable for a short stay.
However, there were a few drawbacks. The room felt a bit dated and could use some modern upgrades and better maintenance. While it was generally clean, there were small details (like worn-out furniture and minor maintenance issues) that took away from the overall experience. The noise levels from nearby rooms and outside were also noticeable, making it a bit difficult to get a peaceful night’s sleep.
The restaurant and breakfast were average—nothing particularly bad, but also nothing special. A bit more variety and fresher options would go a long way in improving the dining experience.
Overall, Horseshoe Motel is a functional option if you’re looking for a basic place to stay in Kimberley. It’s not a bad choice, but with a few improvements, it could be much...
