We first stayed here in the Mountain Cottage in February 2020 and had a lovely relaxing couple of nights so when we knew we were coming back to the area we decided we would stay here again but this time for 4 nights.|The communication with the hosts was very good. We were arriving slightly later in the day and they met us and showed us round, no problem. The bedroom, bathroom and kitchen were all perfect. The tv does not show regular tv, you can only log-into your Netflix account and watch shows from there. this didn't bother us too much as we rarely had it on.|Yes there are 2 fences to get through to get to the cottages and parking but you are given a fob to press as you approach the gates so that didn't bother us and we were happy with the security. There are some zebras, springbok and guinea fowl that roam around the farm area - but the animals would not get to the cottages. |It was a little too cold during our stay to try the pool but it looks lovely. There is a hot tub and a braai at the cottage but we didn't use these. Read moreWe stayed in the Mountain Cottage (November 2023) - ideal for a romantic getaway. We were initially concerned that the units all seemed to be next to one another but we had absolute privacy and even our own back yard complete with loungers and a hot-tub. Gorgeous mountain views can be enjoyed from both the front seating area and the back. The unit is very well equipped and spacious and we had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The cottages are set on a working wine farm far from the main road so you can enjoy absolute peace and quiet during your stay. You can order a tuk-tuk or a taxi to take you into town (about 5km away) but this is quite pricey (+-R150 for a taxi for two and +-R100 for a tuk-tuk for two) as there is only one company offering this service in the area. Over-all a fantastic stay and highly...

Well positioned outside of the Franschoek town - near to the winelands. ||We enjoyed the space, cleanliness of the cottages.
