Jardin de la Ferme — Hotel in Stellenbosch Local Municipality

Jardin de la Ferme was our worst stay ever in SA.

We had an incident where loads of guests (including a number of people not staying here) arrived at a neighbouring residence all afternoon and evening, proceeding to have a loud party, screaming and shouting all afternoon and well past 10pm, driving cars in and out of the property, and so on.

There is no staff or security at night to contact so you’ll be left to deal with incidents on your own. We initially tried to speak to the guests, but were ignored, and tried shouting, which was also ignored. There were loads of people just walking around outside in front of our porch, at close to 11pm, casually looking around and socialising. It was really weird.

Not at all a peaceful or relaxing stay at Jardin De La Ferme - nor did it feel safe here as seemingly loads of people, who weren’t even staying here, had access to the premises and were coming and going in the middle of the night. Not great in a place like Franschhoek, on Verdun Road, where there have been serious security incidents before!
