The road to the mariepskop reserve is a bit bad but can be travelled slowly with a normal car. The road then splits to the Blyderiver picnic site to the left and the reserve and look out point to the right. The road to the picnic spot is rough. If you go to the reserve you have the option to drive all the way to the top of the mountain for some spectacular views. Entrance to the reserve was R30 Pp. The road is concrete all the way to the top but is quite steep at some points but is doable with a normal car. If you go the the waterfall I would not recommend it with a car that has low clearance and is not all wheel drive. The road is not paved, is very uneven and there is a small stream the vehicle has to cross. It it is raining I would be very careful unless you have a 4x4. There is a braai if you want to take some wood and meat to the parking spot for the waterfall but I would recommend you rather pack a picnic and walk the 220m from the parking spot to the waterfall and...
