Panorama Boutique Guesthouse — Hotel in Thaba Chweu Local Municipality

We went there as a family of 9 including elderly people and children. On arrival at 18:10 we asked for restuarants and reception recommended we eat by their restuarant. We placed our order at tbe same time. The chef came out of the kitchen and assured us supper would be ready no later than 19:30. 19:20 we were seated to eat, 20:30 only 2 soups had come out, we went to ask what was going on, we were told they were plating. The entire staff decided to hide in the kitchen at this point including reception and the "manager" leaving reception unattended for an hour. At 21:00 only half the order was out, imagine kids and grandparents waiting 2 hours for food. I requested the owners details and I called her. She assured me that the staff would be spoken to, that she would rectify the situation and offer something complimentary to make up for the inconvenience. Bright, clean, and lovely. Done up in a sort of Afro-Scandinavian design and decor. We were the only people staying there and the staff were quite lovely and took very good care of us. Reception staff were very inviting and the kitchen came in and cooked up an excellent dinner and our waitress, Fortunate, set a candlelit table for two and treated us like royalty. She was there again in the morning with the same great service. The chefs put together beautiful and delicious plates at both meals. The rooms carry through the design elements and are well-equipped with thick towels and good bedding. Hot water took quite awhile to come through, but I suspect it was because we were the only ones there and in an end room.|Excellent location for a trip up the Panorama Route and even into Kruger, although that is a bit further away.
