Hamba Kancane Ma-Africa Guest House — Hotel in Thaba Chweu Local Municipality

What a horrific experience. We waited for 2 to 3 hours for the owner to come and open for us. She got there so late. We specifically booked the place becos on booking.com it indicated that it self catering chalets. She denied it ...we begged to cook there coz we already bought groceries and ended up charging us extra R200 for electricity. The follwing day in the morning she came up to our rooms asking how we slept...we gave her an honest feedback that the place was not clean and full of dust. Myself and two others had to take allegex. On saturday morning we showed her an iron that was broken bcos she had indicated that if we broke anything we would pay R500 or more for it. She denied having a broken iron meaning it had been broken by us but found it that way. She is rude rude rude. Does not listen to clients. Treated us like children. No respect at all. Very disorganized. One thing after another. Only for us to discover that she ill treated us because we had booked through booking.com...so she felt she was at a loss. I strongly recommend that you do not...

Description of the place..... is that it has braai facilities and TV's in all of the rooms and yes thats true... but the tvs do not work the braai is rusted through the microwave switches on but doesn't heat anything they have an alarm for the house and beams which is great but is run like a prison, you need to be home by 10pm or she switches the alarm on and locks the gate. Lady is very accommodating but the guesthouse needs a lot of TLC and care. Breakfast was offered to us when we checked in, we asked for breakfast on Tuesday morning and no one ever came or offered breakfast again. Over all it was just a place to sleep. We slept in the upstairs room but could hear everyone's conversation, aunt and mother in law moved to the outside flat/room eventually because its the only one...

Lord help us. I got the worst treatment. I had booked for two nights, but we just had to leave the following morning. The owner is very disrespectful and extremely arrogant. She literally shouted and insulted me for arriving after 6.30pm.

You need to have the extra R200 if u are driving late. I got the room behind the garage it was fithy. The bed was an old bed that you drown in the middle and the bedding was not only tattered old but dirty. The was clean but unmaintained. It has a tub with nothing to clean after bath not even a mop.

This place traumatized me. The list goes on and on. Book at this house out if desperation otherwise check...
