Daegu Marriott Hotel — Hotel in Daegu

There is alot to say about this stay and I will begin with the good. The staff from the front door to the lobby were stellar and their warmness was beyond all expectations. I have never stayed in a hotel with such amazing staff. The building was absolutely stunning. The location was great.

Now the bad. As soon as I stepped out of the elevator on the 6th floor, the heat hit like a ton of bricks. I thought maybe it would only be the hallway, but unfortunately my room was a blazing 80 degrees. I quickly turned on the AC only to find out that the AC's are inoperable until May. The stellar staff responded to my dissatisfaction by supplying fans and opening the window to allow in the cool night air. In doing this, we had the discomfort of the blinding light from the "LORP" sign across the street and the smell of cigarettes coming through. A very hot room made for a sweaty sleep on a hard mattress. I am very disappointed in this stay. It is such a beautiful hotel, but the heat of the rooms made it almost unbearable and overwhelming. Again, the staff were absolutely amazing but there was only so much that they could do. I would definitely go back if I am able to confirm that the AC was working prior to submitting my reservation. It would have been helpful to know this prior to reserving my room as I would have likely stayed...

First off I want to say Thank you to all the staff who were involved with helping me and especially a big Thanks to the Front Office Manager Ms. Soo. She was very excellent with customer service and very professional at all times. Ms. Soo was very accomodating with my multiple reservations that I had and even helped me change or add my dates on the spot. Ms. Soo was very fluent in both Korean and English languages. I definitely recommend anyone visiting Daegu to stay here anytime. The food and room were excellent and very clean. I give this hotel a 10/10 & beyond 5 Star rating. I truly thank all of the front desk staff for having me and my family. Ms. Soo's demeanor was the utmost professional highest standard at the Marriott chain. Ms. Soo even helped our family with a bit of a situation we had with the hotel. She rectified it right away and even called me back personally. She even escorted our luggage and us to the lobby for our transportation. Daegu Marriott should definitely give Ms. Soo a promotion and a BZ and a job well done!!! My family continues to stay at this location at Daegu Marriott Korea for the remaining of our stay in Korea.

This is the first Marriott in Daegu, Korea and very well situated within walking distance of the main train station, great shopping and night life for all ages. The GM, Mr Roh, is very professional and a good listener with customer concerns and ideas. The restaurant and lounge staff is excellent and the food very good. The marketing director tries hard to improve operations in this new hotel. I am confident the hotel will continue improving offers to the customers as the facility and location is the best in Daegu. The airport is also within 15 minutes with flights to all Asia. The train station offers "bullett" train service connecting to Seoul, Busan and all major cities in Korea. Taxis are plentiful and the valet staff will assist. Great team, super location, overall a perfect score of 10. Strongly recommended for all...businessmen, families, couples,...
