I stayed at Bellus Rose for 9 nights in June 2022. I had a very good time at the pension mainly because of the attentiveness of Mrs Park, and the warm relations we had with her and her husband. They took good care of us! I enjoyed the breakfast every morning, and she was helpful with giving recommendations to nice restaurants to eat at (almost every restaurant recommendation was excellent). If you love hiking, her husband would have very good recommendations as he is an avid hiker. Mrs Park and her husband showed their care by helping us with every need, including when my friend had to go for a Covid re-test at a local centre after the airport test gave an indeterminate result. Having locals with us was invaluable in such a situation. As this is a pension / bed and breakfast run by a local couple, you should expect that it is not like a big hotel with spanking new facilities, amenities and environment. The room was clean, though a little aged. It has a lovely balcony with a view of trees. There is a pool though we did not use it. The pension is about a 10-15 min walk from the bus stop and restaurants but if you need help with a pick up you can arrange it with the couple. On the whole the experience was like staying with relatives - you accept the shortcomings if there are any, but you find many other benefits of staying with locals who will be warm and helpful...
Read moreThis neat little pension is made great by hosts Mr & Mrs Park.|Their customer service, help and support is absolutely superb.|They made sure we had the best of times whilst we were in Gyeongju. |If you only like western style characterless hotels, this isn’t for you as it’s more like stopping in a family home but with your own private facilities. We found it a really relaxing place to be, a nice slower pace of life than the big city hotels.|There’s a good choice of restaurants and a couple of convenience stores down the road near the bus top, which are about a 10/15 minute walk away. Although if you don’t fancy the walk, Mr & Mrs Park will drop you off or pick you up.|They also have a cute little garden and a nice little pool.|Bus 700, 10 & 11 drop you off at the bus stop by the restaurants. But Mrs Park will help you to understand all of that in readiness for your site seeing.|All in all a...
Read moreWe stayed in the lovely, peaceful Bellus Rose for 3 nights, but could easily have stayed longer. The room (more like an apartment!) was huge, with a kitchenette, big bathroom, bed, seating area and a great balcony. Mrs Park came to collect us from the bus station and made us feel right at home. She brought us a full breakfast every morning and also did our laundry, which was really kind of her. There was a nice-looking swimming pool but it was too cold to use it when we were there. In the evenings Mrs Park came to collect us from the 7-11 near the Korean restaurants area so we didn't have to walk back in the dark. On our last day she made me cry when she gave us a lovely gift, before driving us back to the bus station. Gyeongju is a great place to spend a few days, and the Bellus Rose is THE...
