This is a beautiful hotel. We were thrilled to get a seaview room on the 7th floor to watch the fishing boats. The pool is about 37 degrees C so you can stay in it forever. Towels cost 3000 won so most people just used the robes supplied in the rooms. | It is about a 7 min walk to a rocky, very scenic beach. Cab from the airport was only $7 US. We otherwise rode buses from the stop in front of the hotel or one a block south. There are interactive signs in the bus stops that show in English when the next bus arrives. Buy a T-money (or equivalent) card in any convenience store and you don't need to worry about having cash. Most rides cost us barely over $1 US. Sandy beaches would be about a 10 min bus ride in either direction. We had to go into Jeju City to rent bikes (about a 30 minute bus ride) but loved our ride - we did the coastal route heading west (past our hotel). The trail is sub-optimal in a few places (you ride through bus shelters) but incredibly interesting. We initially tried to rent a bike on a Wed and it seems many of the shops close that day. We eventually went to Tourist Information and they helped us find bikes for the next day. However, had we phoned enough shops, we probably eventually could have booked on our own. We paid 25,000 won for MTB bikes and 50,000 won carbon fiber. Helmets were decent. |The restaurant towards the beach with the windmill that you can see from the hotel was excellent and they tried very hard to ensure that we knew what sauces to use on the Korean food that we ordered. Pattyster (south of the hotel) has...
Read moreTravelling as a family (6 adults and 1 baby) so we stayed in 2 deluxe(?) rooms (1 double bed and 1 single bed). The room was spacious, amenities are in place. Very close to convenience stores and many local food stalls. Sadly the local restaurants close too soon (after 6 or 7 pm) and the only thing opened were Lotteria and a restaurant selling alcohols (not our choice but when we visited there to ask for menu the lady was pretty nice), so 2 nights in a row we ate something from Lotteria and we were quite happy with the selection (try the beef burger and chicken strips).||Since we didn't spend a lot of time in Jeju (just two nights), we had a night stroll to the Lotteria and it was quite windy. The street in Jeju is not as crowded as other cities we visited (Busan and Seoul) and it was nice to just walk around the area.||The breakfast tho... was scrumptious. They had buffet consist of noodles, rice, local side dishes, breads, salads (they had FRESH SALMON EVERY DAY). And as I remember, if you pay a day before, you get a discount for the breakfast, so it was nice (normal price 17,000KRW, discounted 15,000KRW).||The reception staff was quite helpful, and they speak adequate English.||Overall, it was a nice hotel and experience and we wouldn't mind staying...
Read moreA bit overrated. Place bit remote but consider quite new hotel in that area. 30 minutes to town by bus. More suitable to those self drive.
Nice sea view just opposite the road with nice shooting spot. Plenty of seafood restaurant just along the coastal side.
We took futon style room and notice floor is not clean. You can still see dirt at the corner.
No air conditioner during winter and only heater which cause room is too hot. Given a fan for cooling after inform counter.
Walking distance to convenient store and Lotteria fast food.
Bus stop just in front of hotel. Take bus 202 straight to Jeju airport entrance. Bus coming back from town quite little as we will need to wait for 10 minutes in order to get a bus back. Sometime bus schedule is not so accurate as indicate in the system. Mostly korean wording so for tourists who is not understand korean word is a problem.
Information show in google map is not complete and accuracy i would say 50-50% most of time require guessing. Totally different then seoul...
