Nimome Vintage Lounge — Restaurant in Jeju

That morning my phone was inundated with warning messages from the South Korean government regarding the heavy snow from the moment I woke up. We proceed our plan with caution anyway - one tire puncture and we had to cancel our plan. After our quick McDonald's lunch - we hunted for a cafe again.

Nimome Cafe is just right behind McDonald's Oedo branch that we went. Since the weather was unforgiving - it felt best to stay indoors. The cafe is a standalone unit directly facing the sea - and it'd be perfect to sit outside if the wind was not blowing so hard and cold.

Since it was our last day in Jeju (or so we thought but more on this later) and we'd finished our itinerary, we spent close to 2.5 hours sitting and relaxing while enjoying our Hallabong juice, Hallabong cake, regular coffee as well as a plate of tomato soup when the princess cried hungry.

My girlfriend and I had the brunch plate and the strawberry open toast. Our drinks were the einspanner and Americano.

When I say everything was perfect, it isn’t an understatement. Every aspect of the brunch plate was out of this world. The arugula salad was light and refreshing, from the tomatoes to the dressing. The egg and sausage were cooked beautifully. Toast was slightly crispy on the outside, yet soft on the inside. The bacon wasn’t crispy as I usually like it (I am American, so I think it just isn’t cooked that way here) but it was equally delicious.

The Americano was the best I have ever had. My girlfriend ordered the einspanner, which she has had before, and she stated it was also the best einspanner she’s had in eight months of living in Korea. After I finished my Americano, I also ordered an einspanner for myself!

We will most definitely be returning for another visit and I cannot recommend this...

Their view can't be beat but the taste of the coffee was quite disappointing. The iced Americano was watery and bitter at the same time. Their signature "Camel" tasted similar to the Fabrique's Einspänner but borderline creamy to me. Obviously it's a...
