I recently visited this place with my family, primarily because of the water park. However, our experience was far from what we had expected. When booking our room, we were not informed that it did not include access to the water park, which was the main reason for our visit. This was a significant disappointment for my kids and ruined our family vacation.

To make matters worse, we were shocked to discover that we had to pay separately for water park access, and this additional cost was not communicated to us during the booking process. It left a sour taste in our mouths, as we felt misled and inconvenienced.

Furthermore, upon our arrival, we were dismayed to find out that the water park rides were closed during our stay, and this information was not provided in advance. This added to our disappointment and frustration.

The disappointment was so profound that we decided to cut our stay short by a day, hoping for at least a partial refund or some form of compensation. Unfortunately, we received neither.

Additionally, the free theme park tickets they provided turned out to be a total joke. The experience was far from enjoyable, and it felt like a low-quality add-on to our stay.

In the future, we hope that this establishment takes steps to clearly inform customers about room options and their associated costs, as well as improve the quality of the free theme park tickets they offer as part of their package. Our family vacation could have been much better, and it’s disappointing that it fell short of our...

I judge places that are considered 5 star harshly based on the price I pay. This was a horrible experience. It took two hours just to get into a swimming pool because of the nonsense with fobs and extra keys. Access only allowed to certain clients and not other clients. It takes 20 minutes to walk from the room to the parking lot and you're going to get lost on the way. There is no elevator to get your luggage upstairs so prepare to lug your bags up the stairs before they finally realize you need help. The atmosphere is absolutely weird in this place. It feels like a mix between a cheesy awkward college student club and a family resort. They couldn't pick the audience they wanted to cater to so they went for both and totally missed the mark. My wife who is usually very easy going was very upset after the few nights we had here. We ended up cancelling out stay after the first few nights and went elsewhere. They brought a lot of high end restaurants into the resort but all of them are overpriced even compared to their Seoul counterparts. I live near one of these restaurants in Seoul and the price and quality here was not even close to what it should be. Expect to pay a 30% premium and get only marginally good experience. All in all. Skip this one unless you really need to use the water park. And even then just use the park but ignore the hotel. It's bad. Used a picture of the weirdly placed trash can to summarize my...

It is a large scale property in Shinhwa resort and I stay in Marriott which is very clean and with all the amenities. Everything is in good order. The only inconvenience I feel is that the elevator from the room goes down to Lobby floor only (and should switch to the other one if need to go B1). But it does not matter much because the view through escalator from lobby floor down to B1 is also another attraction with a spectacular view on the Casino.

I love JW style but the quality standard of this property is in deed beyond expectation. I thank to Ms. Hannah Kim from Front desk for the attentive, customized service. The property takes good care of the room guests and I could feel very comfortable, eventually this fine resort, can be recommendable for all families, couples and friends who need sanctuary and relaxation.

Platinum elite or higher: It is a resort and there is no club lounge, but instead, it provides complimentary minibar (per stay) with enough beverages and snacks. Complimentary Breakfast Buffet (+1 guest) or Welcome gift of 1000 point per stay or amenity Free Breakfast Buffet for children under 12. Suite upgrade subject to...

When first booking the room we wanted to stay at the Marriott. So I searched for the Marriott number and called it and booked the room. When we arrived to my surprise it wasn't the Marriott but the Shinwha World. The reason I wanted the Marriott was for the pool. Would have been nice if they explained this during the booking because there are 4 hotels in the resort and 1 number for all of them. Overall the Shinwha World was ok. It has everything you need. If staying here you don't have to leave the resort. The service is good. We used the water park and was told to use the towels at the pool but at the pool they told us that we aren't allowed to take the pool towels to the water park. The funny thing is there a notice in the room bathroom stating not to take room towels to the water and to get the towels from the pool. Everything at the water park you have to pay extra. Life jackets, sunbeds, etc. Also as a guest at the hotel you have to make a reservation to use the pool which was kind of annoying. Never stayed at a hotel any where in the world where you had to make a reservation to use the pool. They have time slots every 2.5 hours for the pool.
