Traveling to Seosan for 15 years now, this hotel was very traditional in the past. The owners have updated many accommodations over time, large screen TV's, computer with large screens, a bit softer mattresses (traditional Korean beds are very stiff, not much more give than a flat board). Hotel staff does not speak English, at all, but that does not stop them from trying to assist you with any issues. There is no restaurant on location, but 24/7 quick-stops are only blocks away, lots of traditional restaurants are in the area too. Hotel rooms have a book for local establishments to advertise delivery/take-out foods. Owners have acquired both "towers" and two "deluxe" rooms across the parking lot. Deluxe rooms are HUGE with shower and hot tub. Deluxe rooms run about twice as much as the regular rooms a night. Ample parking. Family park is across the street, trail around the lake, lots of new restaurants, coffee houses, fast foods, all within very short walking distance.
Things to be aware of- showers drain across the floor to the floor drain. Sink drains onto the floor behind the pedestal to the floor drain. Windows open, each room has an indoor AC unit and radiant heated floors (best thing ever on a cold night!). Fairly quite area, a few nights at 3am drunks could be heard leaving the local bars. Overall this is one of the better hotels for a short...
