We enjoyed our room the most and felt that we had a good night's rest here. This is a semi budget friendly hotel that is close to the palace/park areas of Seoul. The room was clean and well appointed with two comfy beds, two good pillows per bed, a chair, cabinets and drawers to store stuff, a big tv, robes and sandals. The bathroom was nice too with good shower pressure and one of those shower valves where you can pick the temperature you want. The toilet flushed quietly and there was plenty of shower space. There are frosted windows in the bathroom which help let in natural day light but if your partner uses it at night you will see the lights come on.The location was decent but the metro was further than expected. When we booked trip.com showed us that it was 330m from Dongmyo Station but it was actually closest to jongno 5 entrance 2 which was a 10 minute walk away from the hotel. The palace and Hanbok areas are very close to the hotel and there are frequent busses in the area to take you to the major attractions and areas. Nearby the hotel there are many convenience stores but there are limited restaurant options outside of coffee shops. The breakfast at the hotel was ok. We found there was a good variety but if you went too early (7:30 am) nothing was out yet and if you went later (8:30) everything was limited. The hot items were not as hot as we liked them to be despite the heaters so it might be worth getting early and getting your food when it comes out so it is nice and hot. There were scrambled eggs, fried eggs, marbled cheese the one day, stuff to make salad, an onion soup, mushroom soup, fried rice, a hot vegetable (one day it was potato and the next it was mushrooms), hot dogs, cut up fruit, bread/toaster, cut up muffins, orange juice, coffee and tea. There was enough to get by and there are pricey a la carte options. The restaurant was a little drafty when we went but it was just enough to get us started each day.The staff at the hotel were friendly and allowed us to store our baggage when we arrived early so we could go out and explore the city. When we actually checked in it was smooth and quick. The elevators are a little tricky at the hotel and you have to pay attention to which elevator is closest to you and press that button. There are two elevators but there are two separate buttons to call them so it is worthwhile looking where the elevators are and choosing accordingly. The hotel also has a coin laundry facility and a meeting area. The lobby is also nicely appointed with furniture and a small drinks shop but being there in December we wouldn't want to hang...
Read moreWe stayed here for 3 nights, taking 2 rooms (one triple and one double) and they were reasonably sized and clean. We had 3 large luggages in the triple room and 3 small ones as well, so it sometimes got a bit difficult to move around. Amenities included the usual bottled water, tea, coffee. In the bathroom there is only shampoo and body gel, so make sure to bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste etc. There is a coin laundry service thay you can use to wash clothes.||We also had breakfast, which didn't have many options for buffet. Our second day we came at around 8am and there was a very small selection of bread (unfortunately no butter or jam at that time) and the salad bar. It was a bit confusing at first but then the staff member brought out plates of scrambled egg, sausage and fried rice once we handed our coupons. The following days we can earlier and the buffet was set up fully. |The hotel is in proximity of Changdeokgung and Changyeonggung Palace which is nice if you're going to visit the Secret Garden. There is also a bus stop near by on the opposite side. A downside would be that there isn't a place to properly park, so any taxis/pick ups/private drivers need to stop on the side and cannot wait for too long unless they drive up towards the driveway of the...
Read moreHotel was good value for money. Located a bit east of dongdaemun between metro stops Jong-no3 and jong-no5 ( about 10-15 mins walk ). There is a gym but other than that it’s a basic business hotel.
The hotel is very close to tourist hotspots like changdeokgung castle and jongno park shrine. The Bukchon Hanok village and gyeonbukgong castle and Myeongdong street are just a short trip with the metro (1-3 stops)
We had the corner suite on the 8th floor and the room was very spacious and modern with a bath and electric toilet.
Near the hotel there are 3 convenience stores within 2 minute walk.
A big downside was the amount of noise that came from the climate control. Even when switched off it kept us up at night so we had to use earplugs which we didn’t really bother.
Breakfast was very basic and repetitive with rice and some local dishes . For western breakfast there were eggs, toast, jam, ham, salad , milk and cereal and cake...
