Stayed for 5 nights in August, whilst on business in Ulsan. An excellent hotel, with very good facilities (including a netted golf range - but no A/C so very hot!!) and very friendly and helpful staff. Very good Wi- Fi throughout the hotel, so no issues for the business user. Ate in the Peninsula restaurant for several meals - buffet style with lots and lots of choice - very good quality with attentive chefs. But not cheap if you just want a limited meal - presented with a receipt (for signing on the room) for a Sunday meal (day of my arrival) for 59.000 Won! I only wanted a limited meal having just arrived from the UK but, no matter, the food I had was delicious! ||A Chinese restaurant is available on the 24th floor but that is mega expensive at 200,000 Won, but as I was on the club class floor (level 23) there is also a club restaurant that is worth trying - if you can get in! ||Buffet breakfast is down in the Peninsula restaurant and again was very good, with an enormous range/choice available. ||The only odd feature of the hotel is that the reception is on the 21st floor, with no obvious signs for direction. The concierge was most helpful and pointed out the tiny sign 'Reception' by the lifts (which are out of sight on the edge of the ground floor). So could management place the sign in a more obvious place for the weary traveler....... ||For the more adventurous among us some excellent restaurants nearby and the concierge was most help in giving advice and assistance on how to get there!||||All-in all no hesitation in...
Read moreI like the room, the cleanliness is wonderful, and the view of the city is great. The staff are courteous and helpful, speaking excellent English. However, if you are a vegetarian or vegan and have decided to stay the night in or work extended hours, you have absolutely no chance of having ANY food delivered to your room. The limited room service selection offers no vegetarian nor vegan food. Nothing. Not even a simple fruit plate or salad. For a foreigner who finds it difficult to negotiate the language outside the hotel, and relying on the help of the hotel services, this is unacceptable. It's even harder for business guests - going out after long day at work and hunting for food sometimes feels like a chore. Having stayed in two Lotte hotels during my business trips so far, I will avoid the chain from now on. Although, I am happy with the rest of the services and the room, the hotel doesn't support even my simplest...
Read moreI had a six night business stay. The staff was nice, the suit was clean, large, bed comply and the shower was hot. The rooms came with coffee but no sugar or clream/milk. The staff said they could give me sugar but would have to charge for the milk. So much for international customers. The Happy Hour had the same food every day as did the breakfast. It was just ok and would like to see a larger selection for breakfast. Next time to Ulsan I think I will try a different hotel. Had to buy my own 3-1...
