Just returned home from our 7 night stay at Oasis Park Splash and my honest review is 9/10.

I know these reviews are here to warn you of the terrors and the horrible time others had but our stay was great.

It was my other half, 3 kids, myself and we had a great time. Look let's just cut to the chase ok. If your looking for a 4/5 star hotel with tranquil settings and elegant meal times with ultra top notch fodder then I'd say dig deeper in your bank because this ain't the place for you.

In my eyes this is a hotel for those busy family's that just need a cheapish getaway. Our package cost us 3129 flights included with transfers for all inclusive 2 adults and 3 kids. Meal times are set so 8am to 10am is breakfast 1pm to 3pm is lunch and 7pm to 9pm is dinner but in-between there's a bar that serves snacks like burgers, chips and hotdogs. Great selection of drinks too. I won't lie ok, listen meal times are like a feral chaotic madness so get there bang on time to make sure your seated and eating haha. But come on let's be honest your not looking at this hotel because you want a 5 star experience. Your here because you want a cheap easy holiday that the young kids will love. And trust me if your like me, an easy going brit then the food here is great. You'd have to be super picky to not find a decent meal here.

There are 3 pools to choose from:- a kiddie pool with a pirate theme that the younger ones up to about 7ish will love. A larger pool that caters more towards teens and adults and a topside pool for just about anyone bit we usually had seen kids from about 7 to 10ish in here. The pools were cleaned regularly. And they do this in the early morning while everyone is having breakfast. They clean the poolside everyday which is great cause overtime it can build up a nasty slippery surface.

The hotel rooms are hmmm a little small but for us that's fine because we literally used them for sleeping and showering. We had a family room so it was 2 doubles pushed together to make a big bed for 2 adults and the youngest then a second room with 2 singles for the teens, not the most comfortable I've slept on but it's manageable. Yes the rooms are slightly dated and could do with a revamp and a bit of detailed maintenance but it's not so bad. The cleaners will come everyday if you put the green card on the door while your out.

The beach near our hotel was great! Very hot and the sea was so clear. Being a brit and seeing almost all the beaches we have nothing compares to how clear the water is. You can see the fish swimming between your feet! The water was a nice temperature too especially about 3pm to 5pm.

The staff are perfect, everyone was friendly and couldn't wait to assist with anything you needed. Always someone around weather its a bar tender, entertainment crew, reception, cleaners anyone really. And hats off to the canteen staff. You lot need a pay rise because the way you all get that eating hall back to normal after the feral horde of kids is amazing. The lady greeting everyone into the canteen is just so pleasant and a fantastic team member!

Entertainment wise it's a bit dull. There's a kids disco at night which was great to see the little ones having a good time. Then there's some type of show like dancers, magic or karaoke type of thing this isn't too bad but after this it's kinda boring. There needs to be speakers in the bar room with a local radio playing music just to break the silence.

The package price of our stay was 7 nights all inclusive 2 adults 2 teens and a 7 year old. I paid 3129 for the lot. With the service we got and what I paid I am happy but I definitely would not pay anymore than this for the same experience.

So to the nitty gritty. Would I come back to Oasis Park Splash? Well.. absolutely 100% I would return if I was looking for a cheaper holiday, I can't really...

I really don't get the bad reviews of this place... Rooms were nice, spacious and beds comfy. AC worked well, and power of shower was good. The only thing I would criticise about the room was that the wet room floor isn't sloped enough and the screen isnt deep enough, so the water does run into the main room if your not careful.

We stayed all inclusive - now this is where some of the reviews start to baffle me....

Often done all inclusive, and it's pretty standard to have "own local brand" versions of spirits. Your not going to get your "MALIBU", You'll get an equivalent. This is standard and always has been, want the brand this is chargeable! Nothing new.. but I mean when you ask for shorts and mixer, it's at least half and half so really I don't get the grumbles.

The food... Again... Reviews baffled me.... THIS IS MASS CATERING, of course it's going to be much of a muchness! Again, all inclusive has often been like this. However, always pastries, toast, cereals, eggs, meats (cooked and cold), yoghurt, fruit, coffee, fresh juice at breakfast; and lunch /evening meal, always pizza and chips, various meats and fish in various forms, pasta's, salads, and meat cooked fresh on the grill. On the grill, if it's not cooked long enough for your liking, they will cook longer for you, JUST ASK....

Lots of pudding options, beer, wine and soft drinks at both meals. Always something to choose; and I've got to be honest, never had a problem finding something to eat, and this always tasted great.

People moaning about the pool side being slippy .... It's a pool side, with water, spoiler alert to quote bon Jovi - "Slippery when wet" 🤦yes kids slipped, however kids will run and kids will slip... I mean even if you don't run, you could slip, but I direct you back to Bon Jovi.

The pools.... The children's pool- is amazing for kids, mine both loved it. Those complaining it's cloudy... This is a salt water pool, it is going to be cloudy, this is not due to being dirty....

There were two other pools, yes ok, not huge, but you can see this from the pictures..... For me a big plus was the three on site slides... Such a big win for me and my kids.

Sunbed wars, yes, this still exists, always did, always will, get over it. It is what it is. Either hop on board to get one early or have to wonder around later in the day to find one. We never didn't get somewhere to sit though, and there are seats as well as sunbeds.

Pool side bar was good, good snacks (toasties, burgers, ice cream, pop corn). It is the only bar, but never waited more than a few minutes to be served.

We read ahead about the lift congestion - so I emailed ahead and asked for a low floor, AMAZING! Got the first floor, next to restaurant, overlooked pool, and own separate lift. Reception staff couldn't be more helpful. We asked for more pillows the first day, got delivered within the hour. Maids work amazingly hard, and from 6:30am, the grounds are a wash with service staff, cleaning poolside, the floors, beds, windows, tables...

We were right above the kids pool, and right above the bar. Once the door was shut, there's barely a peep to be heard, and as I say, our AC was great, but even if we left the door open, we never found it so noisy it kept us awake.

Location wise, you are a 10 minute walk to the beach front, with shops on the way, however, by being set back, this means the area around the hotel was also quiet, so little in the way of external noise

All in all a great stay, would recommend, and would go again.

¡Gracias por una maravillosa estancia...

Stayed for 1 week at the beginning of June 2022. 2 families with 3 kids. Age 4, and two at 10 years with 4 adults. 2 rooms across 7 days. We were 7th floor facing west. We were all inclusive.

The good Staff are really lovely and helpful, I didn't have one negative experience with the staff at all. Cleaning of the rooms is good, they all speak politely and do a good job. The food changes more regularly than other reviews may say and it does taste really good. I really enjoyed the food but if you are just after chips and chicken nuggets. Then yes, it is all the same, everyday. Puddings changed everyday and they were great. Meats changed, main dishes changed and veg changed. They did repeat after a few days but it was good. They do have entertainment most days of the week but it wasn't for us. The 'pirate ship' pool is shallow but really good and the kids enjoyed it a lot. The slides were particularly good fun and we all enjoyed using them. Good position with fairly easy access to the beach. Plenty to do in the local area but several reviews say otherwise. We found venturing into the local area the best bit but you need to venture. Locals are happy enough and there's kids play centres, lots of cafes, restaurants, sourvenir shops and the beaches are all great.

The not so good No one in the hotel reinforces many of the advertised pool rules such as no reserving beds and no smoking. The 'inclusive' options are low quality. The cocktails come from a machine. The coffee is machine only (does taste all okay though). there are not enough sunbeds for everyone and just enough chairs. The people are of course mixed so you get the terrible mannered kids and incredibly disrespectful people (not the hotel's fault of course) Coffee and tea is not available in your room (big disappointment) and not available until 10am in the morning from 'all inclusive' snack bar (although you can get it from breakfast served at 8am) Showers look nice but the pressure is unreliable and the temperature is absolutely awful. Please be careful letting kids shower alone. The middle pool, the bigger, deeper pool we named 'the Benidorm pool'. This is where the teenagers, loud people more concerned with how they look than what their kids are doing etc. Again, not the fault of the hotel but they didn't police it or anything. Everyday was a total fight to get sun loungers. People were running after queing for the pools to open at 9am. Then they all put their towels over them and go away for morning trips or breakfast. Rediculous and exhausting. Very little for kids to do outside of the swimming pools. 2 pool tables which were constantly busy or broken. 3 arcade machines and nothing more. No map of the local area offered to us on arrival.

Would I recommend it? If you are new to all inclusive, lounging by the pool and hotels such as this then no. I would recommend finding an alternative such as looking at private hire. If you are used to the daily morning fight for sun beds, cheap food and cheap alcohol then you'll love this place. I would prefer to spend a bit more on a more private location and go self-catering...

We arrived to 2 families nose to nose in the reception area, with the security man just stood watching. I immediately took my 2 year old back out the doors so he wasn’t watching. Then learnt a ladies child was stuck in the lift. Great first night! My little one had a jellycat comforter, which he only sleeps with so it was left on the bed each morning. When we came back to the hotel and popped him bed we noticed it had gone. Spoke to reception who were very unhelpful and quite rude - the lady gave off a very strong “I don’t care” vibe just by the look on her face, not including the tone of her voice. Cleaners admitted to throwing 3 floats in the bins, £70 worth and we’d only used them once. Reception gave us a replacement donut half inflated - obviously left behind by hotel guests so there was no chance I’d blow it up fully! Our bed was broken, the wardrobe was hanging off, the sink pipe detatched and flooded our bathroom, and the hairdryer didn’t work. When letting them know, staff charged deposit of €10 for a new hairdryer! Pools are freezing, food is bland and not varied at all. Pool tables were frequently out of use. Bar snacks are fries, burgers and hotdogs which are served at lunch and dinner anyway. Entertainment is shocking! Tiny stage and evening bar area just not inviting at all. Staff miserable. Booked the “spa” for €13 each which is just an indoor pool with a few jets, and it hadn’t even been cleaned prior to our booking. Overall, a really rubbish hotel I wouldn’t waste money on. The transfer bus doesn’t even take you directly there, so you have to walk up a hill. Locations not great - lots of hills to the beach and shops as well as the town and local bars. Don’t waste your money on this hotel, the staff are miserable, cleaners obviously theives, and not trained enough to know if you’re unsure of something to just leave it instead of binning it!!

The coffee is machine only (does taste all okay though). + there are not enough sunbeds for everyone and just enough chairs. + The people are of course mixed so you get the terrible mannered kids and incredibly disrespectful people (not the hotel's fault of course) + Coffee and tea is not available in your room (big disappointment) and not available until 10am in the morning from 'all inclusive' snack bar (although you can get it from breakfast served at 8am) + Showers look nice but the pressure is unreliable and the temperature is absolutely awful. Please be careful letting kids shower alone. + The middle pool, the bigger, deeper pool we named 'the Benidorm pool'. This is where the teenagers, loud people more concerned with how they look than what their kids are doing etc. Again, not the fault of the hotel but they didn't police it or anything. + Everyday was a total fight to get sun loungers. People were running after queing for the pools to open at 9am. Then they all put their towels over them and go away for morning trips or breakfast. Rediculous and exhausting. + Very little for kids to do outside of the swimming pools. 2 pool tables which were constantly busy or broken. 3 arcade machines and nothing more. + No map of the local area offered to us on arrival. Would I recommend it? If you are new to all inclusive, lounging by the pool and hotels such as this then no. I would recommend finding an alternative such as looking at private hire. If you are used to the daily morning fight for sun beds, cheap food and cheap alcohol then you'll love this place. I would prefer to spend a bit more on a more private location and go self-catering in the future.
