After some extensive research by one of the members of our party, we chose dinner here.
First impressions - the two guys at the bar looked like they belonged in a pub in outback Australia! Moving into the restaurant our table for four suited us fine but wasn’t large enough according to the owner so he doubled our tables and we sat one at each.
Major question - was it really veal? Fantastic flavour but probably beef.
Owner was great character who appeared to wear many hats during the night to accompany the rather flamboyant one his head! His brother, probably Manuel, accidentally put the next tables plates on ours, then quickly removed them apologising Manuel style.
Our sparkling water had lost its shine - aka no bubbles and there was some kind of complimentary shot before paying the bill. Still to be determined what it was!!!
Dessert anyone?? Yes thanks. Then after telling us what was available he disappeared as we tried to order. Tiramisu was excellent though - thanks mamma!
The dishwasher at the tables in the rear of the restaurant didn’t really bother us but he also wasn’t bothered with the growing pile of glasses on the bar!
When working out a split bill, even the calculator seemed to struggle with the concept! But we made it work.
In the end, a great choice. We came for dinner and got that plus a show.
Oh and when asked where we were from “England?” and we said Australia he was delighted and told us to come back tomorrow at 10am to watch England play Argentina in the...
Read moreThis place was amazing! The waiter was so kind and took such great care of us and our kids. We ordered the parrillada menu and the spinach and ricotta caneloni - both of which were so so so very yummy!! The ice cream shop next store (part of the same business) also has an amazing selection - special mention goes to the strawberry flavour! The location was also nice - away from the main drag but well placed, and there was a lovely breeze while seated on the terrace. Definitely recommended...
