Hostal San Antonio — Hotel in Carboneras

As we liked Carboneras so much we wanted a second night as the initial hotel could not accommodate we looked at alternatives. By far the best value with ease of parking nearby and the beach a minute away we selected Be Free. The ladies that run the place are exceptional in terms of hospitality and help. ( We went to check our booking and requested an earlier check-in than the stated 1400hrs we were WhatsApp'ed at 1230hrs with room ready. ) Lovely room second floor (203) super size bed, small balcony (enough for great views & towel drying) and absolutely spotless. |While this residence is advertised as a one star hostel, it is by far one of the nicest places we have stayed in Spain. With bars , restaurants and shops all within a minute to a couple of minutes walk and the beach literally a stone throw away - what more do you want?!|Would definitely...

Excellent hostal, for the location and especially for the owners! Ramon and Vivian are really helpful and friendly, they both speak good English and give great recommendations for Carboneras and surrounding area.||Our room was on the 3rd floor with fantastic sea views from the balcony and a small bathroom, all clean and well-maintained. Good wifi in the room.||Breakfast is really good with tostadas, fresh tomato, pate, cakes and fresh fruit. An unexpected bonus was that they can provide gluten-free options for breakfast.||Location is perfect, a quiet street just a couple of minutes from the beach (Ramon lent us a beach umbrella and chairs) and close to shops and restaurants. We arrived in Carboneras after having spent 4 nights sleeping in our camper and we were keen on a good night sleep. We called, and we're lucky that they had one available room with a big double bed and air condition and with breakfast included. The best thing of all was the good conversations we had with the staff and all the recommendations of places to see, where to eat and also that they let us use the shower after having checked out before leaving Almería.
