I stayed at Aparthotel Las Dunas in June 2025 to celebrate my wedding anniversary. Overall, it was a pleasant experience with some highlights and a few areas for improvement.

Pros: • The room was clean and spacious, offering good comfort throughout the stay. However, it could benefit from some updates to the furniture and infrastructure. • The location is excellent, right in front of La Barrosa Beach, with direct access via wooden walkways—perfect for beach lovers. • The food was a pleasant surprise: there was a wide variety at the buffet, and everything was very tasty. • The hotel provides a calm and family-friendly environment, with well-maintained gardens and clean pools (including a children's pool). • June was a great time to visit, with mild weather and fewer crowds, making the stay relaxing.

Cons: • During the booking, I mentioned that I was celebrating my wedding anniversary, but unfortunately, this was the only hotel where I have never received any kind of gesture or acknowledgment for the occasion. A small touch would have made the stay more memorable. • In room 146, some tiles were loose and caused noise, which was unusual and a new experience for me. • Parking costs €12 per day, which felt a bit expensive. • The entertainment for children was limited during June compared to the high season.

Conclusion: I recommend Aparthotel Las Dunas, especially for families or couples seeking a relaxing beach holiday. Stayed here for four nights as part of a holiday exploring Andalusia. We booked for the location close to the beach. Location of the property is very good but the service from reception was very disappointing. We arrived at 3pm and in our booking plus telephone call before we arrived we requested a very quiet room as we are light sleepers but when we arrived reception were just interested in taking payment there and then for the duration of our stay without giving us any information about the facilities in the complex. We again asked was the room given to us in a quiet location and we were reassured that it was!! When we looked at the room we asked would it be possible to get a room with a double bed and on a higher level and this was declined. At 9.30 pm music started in the area near the pool the music might as well have been playing in our bedroom it was so loud and this went on until 11.45 pm we are not old fogies but we had a long day traveling and just wanted a quiet night.....When we rang reception asking to be moved they told us they were full and could not help us until the next day. The next day when we arrived at reception almost immediately they an alternative room available by 10.00 am which leads to the question was the room available the night before this left a sour taste and not very impressed at how it was handled. It destroyed a day of our holiday due to the unhelpful nature of the reception staff when we checked in....Generally the apartments are spacious and clean but need updating example chipped crockery and kitchen and bathroom units...

Cuarto año que nos hospedamos en Aparthotel Las Dunas. La UBICACIÓN del hotel extraordinaria en primerísima linea de playa de La Barrosa, con acceso privado si se quiere desde el hotel por pasarela de madera. La playa dispone de un chiringuito del hotel, donde en otros años hemos comido fenomenal.

COMIDAS: fuimos a media pensión, alternando entre cenas y comidas según nuestras necesidades ya que te permiten hacerlo avisando el día anterior. He de decir que la comida que sirven nos pareció bastante aceptable. El buffet de desayuno todos los días más o menos lo mismo, pero también muy amplio y bastante aceptable. El personal de comedor muy amable durante el servicio, facilitando las cosas, tanto camarer@s como encargad@s. EL UNICO DETALLE QUE NO ME GUSTÓ FUE QUE LAS BOTELLAS DE AGUA QUE SIRVEN SON DE 1/2 LITRO. El año pasado eran de 1 litro. No me parece de recibo, SE TRATA DE UN HOTEL FAMILIAR.

PISCINAS: Creo que deberían cambiar ya las hamacas. Son un poco incómodas, y las mismas de hace 7 años. En la piscina principal se podrían colocar alguna sombrilla y hamaca más, no muchas, pero alguna más. En la tercera semana de julio (18 al 24) el hotel estaba hasta arriba de gente y esa piscina en concreto, también. Muy buena opción la de poder utilizar (previo fianza) las toallas del hotel para piscina y playa, pudiendo cambiarlas una vez al día.

ANIMACIÓN: el equipo de animación infantil es excelente. Son unos chic@s super simpáticos y amables...y lo que interesa, son supe rresponsables. Lástima que haya cosas actividades para personas de 12 años en adelante y algunas a unas horas ilógicas: aquagym (11h., en piscina mediana. A esas horas la gente está terminando de desayunar, echándote las cremas solares o en el baño) o yoga (16 h.😵‍💫). Este año hemos echado mucho en falta la música en la piscina grande y para el juego cocktail a las 13,30 en el bar de la piscina hace demasiado calor). Aún así, chic@s...¡¡¡ SOIS L@S MEJORES!!!...y nuestra hija Silvia disfrutó un montón con vosotr@s.

RECEPCIÓN: Simpatic@s, amables y muy profesionales. El parking me parece un pelín caro (15 €), yo creo que si cobran 12 € sería más correcto. Se aprovechan de la escasez de plazas en la calle, fuera del hotel.

HABITACIONES: las mismas de todos los años. Nos tocó la 147 del Edificio Zahara. Mejora con reforma en el baño (cambiada la bañera por plato de ducha), a pesar de que sale algo de agua ( no sé si es problema de sellado de silicona o que se sale por que la mampara es corta). Para el último día nos llegó justo los ameniries de jabón y champú. La cuerda de la persiana de la ventana de la habitación hace falta sustituirla ya. No cocinamos en ningún momento, pero revisado el mensaje nos parece más que aceptable. Hay tabla de planchar y plancha. No lavadora, pero si lavandería (5 euros lavado y secado). Había cepillo y recogedor. ECHÉ EN FALTA LA FREGONA, por el agua que salía de la ducha.

INSTALACIONES: Creo que no estaría mal si pudieran habilitar alguna sala como pequeño gimnasio. En cuanto al BAR DE LA PISICNA diré que en varias noches estaba la terraza llena de gente, con ganas de consumir...en ocasiones solo un camarero la atendía, y a veces dos. En este sentido, el servicio dejaba mucho que desear y los precios no son precisamente baratos. Por último, los baños o ASEOS que están entre las dos piscinas se limpian unas 4 veces al día. No está mal, pero si se pudiera aumentar la frecuencia mejor. Esa dependencia a veces es utilizada para cambiarte de ropa o bañador. NO ESTARIA DE MAS PONER UN GANCHO A MODO DE PERCHA en ellos, para poder colgar la ropa mientras te cambias, máxime si los suelos en ese momento están sucios.

Como RESUMEN, diré que APATHOTEL LAS DUNAS es una opción muy ajustada y equilibrada económicamente hablando para pasar 7, 10 ó 15 días lejos de las mareantes cantidades que piden en otros hoteles de la zona. Cumple año tras año nuestras necesidades de ocio para nuestra pequeña y con la playa a 100 mts. Es una zona repleta de locales de restauración, con un mercadillo y una pequeña feria nocturna para...
