Hotel Rural Plaza Mayor Chinchon — Hotel in Chinchón

No fue 1 buena experiencia. Mi esposa y yo realizamos la reserva por booking 1 mes antes para ir a un bautizo por disfrutar de las vistas desde la plaza. Carla gerente envio las instrucciones de acceso al hotel por correo pero indicaba pedia hacer checkin en otra ubicación y el aparcamiento a casi 15 min.

Dimos indicaciones de que llegariamos sobre las 12:00 o 13:00 llegamos a las 15:00 (motivos personales) y 15:30 al checkin porque como ya nos indicaron el GPS no trazaba bien ni coche, ni andar (soportales y pasajes que google no detecta bien).

2 días antes de llegar Carla envio un correo sobre que las vistas a la plaza nulas, por obras de remodelación de la plaza. No ofrecio cancelación gratuita y nos vimos forzados a ir, puesto que solo se podía cancelar 5 días antes sin perder importe.

Al llegar, Carla estaba molesta por ser su hora de comida, y casi de mal caracter dijo, que llegabamos mas tarde y que tuvieron que acelerarse mucho para limpiar la habitacion. Aunque tuviera razón, no nos pareció cortes la forma de decirlo y "el cliente siempre lleva la razón", parece que no se tuvo en cuenta.

Nos hizo firmar el pago en el checkin, sin ver antes la habitación, algo que en mi opinión se debe hacer en checkout.

En ningun sitio o correo anterior, nos indico las normas de que si fumas debes pagar 500€ como multa. En mi caso, no fumabamos, creo que roza la normativa, y no es ninguna autoridad sanitaria para sancionar.

Tras darnos las tarjetas de apertura y acompañarnos a la plaza, comprobamos que los andamios no dejaban ver nada. Sin ascensor, y escaleras de ancho

Although classed as a hotel in listings, the accommodation consists of rooms within the historical buldings directly overlooking Plaza Major with its own secure entrance. Carla the owner also has a B&B a short distance away, Hotel Rural Casa de Marquesa and it is from here that keys are collected. There is also the option of taking breakfast there is required. We found this gem of a hotel purely by chance as we were looking for somewhere to stay not too far from Madrid on our last night in Spain. To say we were delighted is probably an understatement. The setting is stunning.
