Praia De Quenxe — Hotel in Corcubión

When my family and I arrived at the hotel there was no one to greet us as the only person available was a charming English speaking girl that was serving people at the bar.||Once I let her know I had a booking at the hotel she kindly gave me the key and explained the breakfast times and told us where our room was.||On entering the room we had noticed that the Main bed was too small for two people [after one night I noticed that the bed was old and the springs had gone] ||The room did seem to be clean and the maid cleaned the room every day but it was a quick clean as parts of the hotel room was left untouched I:E under the bed!||||The second bed that was promised was a very used old sofa bed and I had to ask for the bed lining as none was supplied on entering the room.||||After a few nights we heard a load banging noise and a dog crying [ 12 pm at night and the early hours of the morning] the people staying two doors down from us where going out leaving their dog in at night causing distress to the dog and my family and I unable to get some sleep.||||At around 12-1am I was awaken by some loud shouting and giggling when I looked out the window I was shocked to find out it was two restaurant staff having a break and not having the common sense to keep the noise down outside a hotel window at that time of night.||||The breakfast was basic but done the trick [ Pictures attached] but the restaurant did seem to need a deep clean.||||Summary||||I will not be booking at this hotel again but I must say thank you to the two waitress's/ Bar staff your customer service was great.... your boss is lucky...

Le 4/07/8 Dans un premier nous avons reçu un mail de booking signalant que cet hôtel n’assurait plus le repas du soir, mais que l’hotel restait ouvert.||Le 22/08/18 à 8h23 j’ai reçu un mail de booking nous disant que L’établissement Hotel Playa de Quenxe était dans l’incapacité d’honorer notre réservation pour la raison suivante overbooking: qu’ Il souhaiterait toutefois nous proposer une alternative dans établissement similaire,.||Hors d’une part la réservation était pour la nuit du 21/08/18 donc nous avons reçu le mail trop tard de la part de booking et ensuite la personne de l’accueil de Hotel Playa de Quenxe ne nous a pas donné la même version : ||En effet soit disant un problème de tuyauterie, une fuite dans la salle de bain, que le plombier n’avait pas pu venir, et qu’il nous avait réservé une chambre similaire à l’Hôtel Cabo Finisterre à FISTERRA et qu’il prenait en charge le taxi pour nous amener à l’hôtel (12.5km). Nous étions déçus, mais bon ça peut un problème technique peut arriver, d’autant plus que la personne paraissait symphatique.||Premier problème nous faisons le chemin de St Jacques et notre but était d’arriver à Fisterra, notre plaisir a été gâché car nous n’avons pas pu faire notre dernière étape ou nous devions dormir, et soit disant tous les autres hôtels à corcubion étaient complets. Nous avons fait confiance !!!||Second problème la personne de L’Hotel Playa de Quenxe, nous a dit avoir réservé une chambre similaire à celle qu’on avait réservée chez lui, avec les mêmes prestations et même prix, qu’il connaissait cet hôtel qu’il était bien||Une fois arrivée à l’hôtel Cabo Finisterre à FISTERRA,||Accueil du personnel très bien, rien à redire par contre chambre sous les combles, sans climatisation, ni même un ventilateur, avec comme fenêtre un petit vélux, et une température d’environ 35° impossible de rester dans la chambre avec une telle chaleur, vers minuit on a été obligé de déplacer les lits pour mettre la tête sous le vélux||Le tarif de 85€ c’est du vol pour une prestation pareille, nous sommes persuadé maintenant que la personne de Hotel Playa de Quenxe qui nous a réservé cet hôtel c’est déduit le tarif de la course du taxi par rapport au prix de a chambre. Nous n’avons pas pu changer d’hôtel car tout était complet||D’autre part quand nous attendions le taxi à l Hotel Playa de Quenxe,||Un couple avait réservé une chambre pour 3 jours et ils étaient très mécontent de la chambre, nous avons échangé avec eux : tarif trop élevé par rapport à la prestation, chambre vendu pour vue sur la mer, pas de vue sur la mer, ils ont demandé à changer de chambre, apparemment elle ne valait pas non plus le prix demandé, ce couple a demandé une réduction qui l’a obtenu, mais nous a confié que s’il avait trouvé ailleurs ils ne seraient pas...

Stayed at the Hotel for one night during a trip around northern Spain on our way to the Costa del Sol. The room was spotlessly clean, very minimalist decor and had pleasant views across the bay of Corcubion - there was also a kitchenette, which was not usable. It was extremely quiet and I think we were probably the only people staying there, but despite that the room was well heated, which was very welcome. There was a bar/restaurant attached and the owner was the chef. We had a very nice seafood meal in the restaurant and the breakfast, which was included in the very reasonable price, was excellent - including croissants, toast with preserves, freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee. Excellent...
