The big issue with this hotel is that there is a stark difference between the presentation and images shown in the internet and the reality which one confronts when standing in front of the hotel and which can be encountered inside.||The outside of the hotel and its neighbourhood such as displayed on the internet image looks much different in the real world. The hotel is surrounded by small private houses in a small street with very few parking options. From our hotel room, the view is limited and shows onto a row of lining small private homes. The balcony of our hotel room is very small and it is no place to relax. The street can be busy with occasional traffic. The room itself is much smaller as displayed in the internet and not filled with colours in contrast to internet images but grey and somber.||The pool is very small and just for a cool-down and does not allow swimming. ||Breakfast is under the average of Spanish and European standards because: orange juice is from supermarket cartons and has the taste of diluted concentrated juice and definitely not fresh, jam is also not from the best taste, butter was missing, the taste of spanish jam was from the cheapest category, there was only one choice of bread and very limited self service. ||This hotel is ok for a one night stay but not for a longer holiday looking for a relaxing environment inside the hotel compared with others I have visited before all around the world. The price is relatively high for the lacking confort but one of the lowest in the Denia area which has relatively high hotel prices.|We wanted to stay two nights but being disappointed by the reality which we confronted compared what we saw in the internet, we only stayed one night and payed the additional 30% cancellation fee looking for a more convenient place on the coastline.||It has to be mentioned that the staff was very...
Read moreMy husband and I made a last minute change to our travel plans to include a visit to Denia. I would like to advise that most of the rooms can only be accessed by a stairway. Please keep that in mind if you are thinking of booking at this hotel. ||Also, if you don't mind not having air-conditioning, you will be fine at the hotel. I noticed that doors and windows were open while we were there. I am not sure if they just don't feel like paying for air-conditioning or if they don't work and don't fix them. When we arrived in our room it was hot and a window in the bathroom was open. My husband had a hard time closing it, so we let reception staff know. The receptionist came up and closed the window. We also told her that the room's air conditioning didn't seem to be working, and she sent a man up to work on it. After working on it for a while, he got a bit of air circulating in the room. The room eventually became tolerable, although the hallways and other areas were quite warm, and even the staff remarked about it. ||The room itself is quite cute. Is it small and decorated in a colorful way with bright multiple colors. The bed was comfortable enough for the two nights that we stayed there. I found the dark hallway kind of creepy. Lights come on with a motion sensor after you've entered the dark hallway. ||The outdoor area is quite lovely. There is a patio with tables for eating breakfast, and there is a small swimming pool and lounging area with lounge chairs. ||The location was great, just a couple of blocks from the beach. ||It was okay staying at this hotel for a...
Read moreWhat a wonderful find this place is . Due to flight delays we didn’t check in until the early hours but our host was still there . We weren’t really sure what to expect as it only rated as 2 star , but honestly it was nearer 4 , especially in terms of customer service - which in my mind goes much further than an extensive range of pillows !! . Our room was spacious with a great balcony and enjoyed all the facilities needed for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was also to a good standard with plenty of choice and attentive service. The outside space was comfortable and the pool, albeit small offered some cool refreshment from the warmth of the Sun. The hotel is conveniently located for exploring Denia Town and we walked to the Castle at a leisurely pace in approx 40 minutes . Having secure parking at the hotel was a real bonus also . We would definitely return when we next visit our friends and have no hesitation in recommending this place . The lady owner was very friendly and happy to chat and offer advice on things to see and do . A real gem and way more deserving of 2 stars - Adios until next time ,...
