Hotel Jauregui — Hotel in Hondarribia/Fontarrabie

Sercotel Jauregui is a modern hotel in the centre of Hondarribia. There are signs to the hotel as you enter the town, so it is easy to find. There was also ample parking at the front of the hotel to allow us to unload our luggage and book in. As parking can be difficult in Hondarribia however, I booked the hotel’s private parking which is just around the corner in an underground car park. It was easy to find and the spaces are a good size.||Our room on the first floor was modern and well-appointed and, as it is a corner room, it also felt very light and cool. As I’ve already said, the hotel is centrally located and is adjacent to Calle San Pedro, which is the Main Street in town for bars etc. The promenade is just a couple of minutes walk and the wonderful old town is an easy 10 minute stroll.||Breakfast was top class and in addition to the normal Continental selection of fruit, cold meats, cheeses etc., you could have tortilla or (and even better) decent bacon and perfectly cooked scrambled eggs.||Throughout our stay all members of staff were pleasant and helpful and we would certainly use this...

As other reviewers have said, don't bother staying here if you want a quiet, away from it all spot. Having said that, we were never disturbed by the eateries outside on the main pedestrian area, in fact it you want the real atmosphere then this hotel is a must! The staff are very helpful and professional, check-in was smooth and quick. They have safe underground parking five minutes away but this was a bonus as parking space near the hotel is payable and in short supply. The parking police were vigilant and even have their own tow truck! This was our third visit and we were not disappointed. Very good value when...

Buena opción de alojamiento si vas a la zona más oriental de Euskadi. Hondarribia es territorio de frontera con Francia y tanto para desplazarte a Hendaya como para visitar Donosti es muy buena opción. Con los buses Ekialdebus (el E21 que se coge a menos de 5 min del hotel) te deja en poco tiempo en Donosti sin necesidad de ir con coche y poder disfrutar de la capital vizcaína sin los agobios del vehículo. Vuelta a la tarde/noche a Hondarribia habiendo disfrutado de la capital durante el día.

El hotel se encuentra en la parte baja de la ciudad portuaria y pesquera, fuera del recinto amurallado que está localizado en alto. El hotel está rodeado de bares/restaurantes dando gusto salir de pintxos. Se aparca fácilmente en la parte alta de la ciudad (cercana a pie, a menos de 5' andando y con escaleras mecánicas) pudiendo ahorrarte el parking que además cuando llegamos estaba todo ocupado (estuvimos en días festivos por la competición de las embarcaciones típicas de Euskadi).

La habitación que tuvimos era amplia, cama matrimonio muy cómoda, doble ventanal que daba a la calle principal del barrio pesquero, la tele estaba estropeada la pantalla pero no la utilizamos. El cuarto de baño tenía bañera (una pena que no fuera ducha) y el grifo de la bañera no funcionaba correctamente, salía poca agua. El precio de la habitación al ser temporada alta elevado y puede que no acorde a los servicios ofrecidos por las condiciones de la bañera o la propia televisión como he indicado.

Sí destaco para bien el trato que recibimos por parte de Zugaitz (disculpad si no lo escribí correctamente), que muy simpático nos ofreció ayuda, recomendó y aconsejó para visitar zonas cercanas e ir a la playa ante el tremendo calor que nos hizo un día...
