World's best soup. I came all the way here just to eat it. As a result, it was the best experience. Amazing cuisine, fresh, high quality seafood, simply prepared using Basque techniques. Soup only tastes of ingredients. It doesn't taste like seasoning. But it is rich enough. The staff handed me some salt, but it's not necessary at all. Cream and cheese are not used in spider crabs. It focuses on the flavors of crab and slow-roasted onions. Four flavors of Spanish croquettes. Crab croquettes are special. Bacalao's pil pil is surprisingly thick. The pil pil sauce is cloudy but without cream or cheese. So don't disturb the taste of Bacalao. All these dishes were excellent. However, there were other dishes to eat most at this restaurant. It's Bacalao tripe. Bacalao's gelatin-condensed dish is a delicious bomb. I highly recommend waiting to eat the bread until this dish reaches you. Because the sauce is exceptional. Great restaurants have amazing desserts. The combination of warm blue cheesecake and apple ice cream will take you to heaven. I want to try all the dishes in this restaurant. The food at this restaurant is so wonderful. Service staff are friendly. Kindness I will definitely travel and visit here again. At that time, the urge to eat the same dish again and the urge to try a dish that I have not experienced will definitely make me...

Si el único pescado que has visto en tu vida es una lata de atún puede colar, pero sino, te recomiendo cualquier otro restaurante de la zona. Os contamos nuestra experiencia:

Pedimos dos entrantes (huevos rotos y txangurro), tampoco queríamos mucho más, cenar algo e irnos (llegamos los primeros a las 20.00 cuando abren). La jefa nos dice de manera brusca que no no y no, que eso no es posible, que es obligatorio pedir un principal que lo pone en la carta (es verdad, lo pone en la carta), vale no pasa nada pero entonces queríamos pensarnos el segundo plato al menos dos minutos, cosa que ya no le debió sentar muy bien. Entonces tuvimos un momento de reflexión "¿Nos vamos? Parece que no nos está tratando muy bien" "No, nos quedamos, vamos a darle una oportunidad" Decidimos pedir langostinos a la parrilla de segundo (mala decisión).

Llegan los primeros, el txangurro bueno... los que somos del norte sabemos que es un plato elaborado, pero que te salgan cáscaras por cada ganchada no es normal... el sabor sin más, pero bueno no estaba del todo mal. Los huevos estrellados.... ufff el huevo prácticamente crudo, lo que le da una textura de gelatinosidad extrema, las patatas bien, pero... de pronto vemos las pieles del bacalao totalmente sin hacer, sin sentido y dando más sensación todavía de viscosidad. Quizás en Japón les gusta así y es respetable (ellos mismos dicen que van muchos japoneses) En nuestra opinión: Fracaso total. No los pudimos acabar.

Llega el momento delicado de la tarde/noche. Los langostinos (dos langostinos, por eso son "Los langostinos", tiene sentido). Langostinos abiertos a la parrilla. Bueno en nuestro caso creo que la parrilla lo podríamos omitir del título. Recibimos dos langostinos abiertos por la mitad, nada más. Intentamos sacarlos de su piel y era misión imposible, probamos con la mano (de perdidos al río), tampoco. Vale, no me gusta tener que hacer estas cosas pero... pasando vergüenza llamamos a la camarera y le explicamos que esto esta incomible y le mostramos el problema. Ella dice "vale perdonad igual están demasiado hechos" (creo que era al revés, o no sé pero algo ahí no estaba bien, qué vergüenza siendo el norte como es con la gastronomía), que esperemos que se lo dice al cocinero, oímos que dice "¿Y qué les digo ahora?" Vuelve al instante y nos dice que si queremos que nos den otros cuchillos... ¿Cómo? ¿Perdón? ¿Quéeeee? Le explicamos que no es una cuestión de cuchillos, que están mal cocinados, y nos dice que son así y que no puede hacer nada más y agur, se va.

Terminamos rápido, llamamos a la jefa y le decimos que muy mal, que NUNCA se debe tratar así a un cliente y nos pide disculpas y pregunta qué ha pasado, llama a la camarera implicada, y nos dice que no nos podía cambiar los langostinos porque no había más (¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?) Son las ocho y media de la tarde y solo tenéis dos langostinos???? Algo huele a mentira y escusas, ¿Nos quitaron los langostinos de la cuenta? ¿Nos recompensaron? Nada de nada... Tuvimos que pagar todo, salir enfadados y ciao. En fin ni volveremos, ni recomendamos a nadie pasar por esta experiencia... Una pena que el sitio esté lleno de gente turistas de otros países que no saben que ese sitio no...

Not many places will make me rip apart a baguette to soak up a beautifully garlicky sauce from prawns and clams, but the dishes we had were so simple and good they were irresistible. The clams and prawns were so fresh they truly didn’t need much seasoning. Just oil, garlic and salt and our taste buds were in heaven. The octopus we had was expectedly amazing and the accompanying sauces gave us a great mix of a mildly spicy paprika and a more soothing herb sauce. Finally the Hake in a local basque green sauce was again simply delicious, although being a little salty, but it didn’t overpower and the addition of a hard boiled egg added a great contrast. Precisely, the insect was found at the potatoes. It was unfortunate to find out this. We asked the server to change the plate, and she did immediately but of course the bad feeling stayed till the end of our meal. The manager tried to convince us that was a mistake, the kitchen is always clean, etc. She was very kind and even removed some dishes from our bill. I attached it for you. Sorry, but most likely I won’t come back. This episode happened today, August 22nd 2018 during lunchtime.

The clams and prawns were so fresh they truly didn’t need much seasoning. Just oil, garlic and salt and our taste buds were in heaven. The octopus we had was expectedly amazing and the accompanying sauces gave us a great mix of a mildly spicy paprika and a more soothing herb sauce. Insect in the food. Sorry folks but I have to tell this. Despite the nice starters (fish soup, tuna salad) the main fish came with a fried insect in the main course, rodaballo fish. Precisely, the insect was found at the potatoes. It was unfortunate to find out this.
