my experience checking out in this hotel was an absolute disgrace. I have never experienced as bad customer service in my life. A week later and Im still shook regarding what I experienced in a supposed “four star hotel” and I will be sure to review the hotel based on this experience on travelling websites as I wouldn’t allow another holiday be ruined by such treatment. The day before checking out I went to reception to ask about the possibility of getting a breakfast prepared for take away as we had it included in our stay but we had to leave early in the morning as we had early flights. We were told that will be okay and we were booked in for 2.10 at the sister Rosamar Hotel opposite the hotel. The following morning at 2 am we checked out at reception were our only key for the hotel was left at reception and we went across the road for the breakfast we had arranged for the day before. When we got to the hotel across the way we were met by the security man who told us no such reservation was made, and after he further investigated with the staff at our original hotel he said no reservation was made and there was nothing he could do. We went back to our original hotel to clarify the situation and the receptionist treated us with absolute contempt. First she didn’t even open the door of the hotel for us, instead she indicated for us to use the key to open the door, even though she checked us out 5 mins earlier and took the card from us. When I eventually used the ring on the door she stormed out and was clearly infuriated with us because she had to get up and walk up to the door. She didn’t open the door for us, instead left us outside and opened the door just enough to stick her own head out. We were using the translator ourselves to try and communicate with her so we could ask about the situation regarding the breakfast but she made absolute minimal effort. Another member of staff then came, however no resolution was found as the receptionist was clearly bored of our situation and instead she left us outside the hotel and closed the doors. We had to wait for 45 mins outside the hotel because she wouldn’t let us in to wait in the lobby. We felt very unsafe at 2 am with many people walking around us in complete darkness. We felt that because we already paid we were not worthy of common decency and respect, and only deserved to leave. Pool hours were stated clearly as open from 9am. When we arrived at 9 am excited to enjoy the pool, the pool was still closed. We waited with few other customers and eventually asked a staff member what time they open at 9.10 and their response was “now”. They were clearly not happy with customers trying to use the facilities they have paid for, and we were made to feel like a burden on your staff for asking a simple question about opening the pool. The question about you opening the pool at the times stated shouldn’t even have to be asked in first place. The standard was not near a four star hotel. There was no common area for use if the weather was not nice, there was no place to relax other than in your own room. The rooms need updating urgently. The smell coming from the bathrooms was vile, even though I know the cleaning lady was trying her absolute best, but there was nothing she could do with the disgusting smell. The hotel was of a cheap B&B standard. I would never recommend staying there especially after the treatment we received on the morning of the check out. Me and my husband felt humiliated leaving and standing outside the hotel with no where to go, with a receptionist who couldn’t care less about what happened to us. My sister booked another hotel nearby due to belated arrival. Nonetheless, she was not allowed to visit us during the day on the premises of our hotel and have lunch with us. Up to the 5th day of our stay the stuff members were not only disrespectful but rude towards us and our situation.||||Furthermore, the cleaning service is absolutely terrible and incompetent. We kindly asked a cleaning lady to change our bed sheets for the first time on the 5th day of our stay. She instead refused to do it and shouted at us in Spanish and I am assuming due to ‘extra’ inconvenience for her to do her job that we paid for.||||In the buffet, the staff is arrogant and abrupt. I was accidentally in the way of one of the waitress and she nudged me to the side without apologizing ( unfortunately it didn’t happen only once.) Moreover, as the waitress wanted to take away my plate with still not finished food I tried to kindly tell her that I am still eating and in response she rolled her eyes at me.||||One of the so-called ‘pros’ of this hotel is the sea view and its location which is close to the beach. However, between the hotel and beach there is a massive parking lot which completely ruins the view. Therefore, not even the view outweighs the horrid cons of the hotel.||||This is the worst hotel I have ever been to. I wish I was exaggerating this experience but that’s exactly what happened during these 5 days.
