Restaurant POPS — Restaurant in Lloret de Mar

Stopped here for a quick lunch with my family (5 people) during our trip through Lloret de Mar. The place looked decent from the outside, but from the moment we walked in, the vibe was off. The waiter acted arrogant right at the entrance, asking if we had a reservation - despite the restaurant being completely empty - and to be clear: it's more about the way how he looked down to us, than the question itself. We were seated without much interest or care outside, and not allowed to walk through the restaurant, but he pointed us to walk outside around... while he took the inside way.

Food ranged from average to poor. My Spanish cutlet was greasy and bland, the burger and steak were okay, but the spaghetti carbonara was simply inedible — like something out of a microwave package. Service throughout felt cold and unwelcoming. It really seemed like we weren’t wanted there.

To top it off, the stairs to the restroom were dangerously slippery - honestly, a safety hazard.

All in all, this was one of the worst restaurant experiences on our trip - overall, I never felt so disrespected in any restaurant. Definitely not coming back and wouldn’t recommend...

A seafood paradise in Lloret de Mar!

Restaurant Pops is one of the most established and high-quality seafood restaurants you can find in Lloret de Mar. We passed by many restaurants in the city, tried a few, but to be honest, this was the only place where we truly experienced the real taste of the food.

Yes, people say it’s more expensive than other places, and that’s true but you’re on vacation, and if you want to enjoy a truly delicious and high-quality meal, you absolutely must try this place I insist! The staff may not have been the most friendly or welcoming, but the service was fast and professional.

The sangria here is absolutely fantastic a must-try. When you go to Pops, don’t forget to order the Galician octopus, and pair it with fried calamari for a perfect combination. The restaurant is right on the beach, offering a lovely view, and there are places nearby where you can find parking. It’s an ideal spot to have a wonderful evening with...

It was terrible. We went on a recommendation from our hotel. When we arrived the lady didn’t really look at us and just said to us what table to go to.

When we were looking at the menu you get what you see at the pictures. My husband asked for the grilled prawns in garlic sauce and that was what he got, no bread, no pasta, nothing. I asked for the grilled squid. And I got burned aubergine and burned courgette. Some salty almost “lays” crisps and flavourless squid.

We were really disappointed with the food and wanted to leave as quick as possible. So we immediately asked the check when they took our plates away. We waited for 20 minutes and needed to ask again because they forgot about us.

My husband left with hunger and so did I. I do not recommend going, the prices are too high for what you get.
