To any professionals or travelers coming to Madrid: avoid this hotel. No security in the rooms, no respect for guestsâ belongings, no honesty from the staff, and a complete failure to handle a serious incident. It is unacceptable for a hotel of this supposed standing to let a guest leave with no answers after a clear breach of trust. I strongly advise against staying here.
â- Absolutely unacceptable experience at Hotel Mirador ChamartĂn. I stayed there for a few nights while attending a professional trade show. After my first day out, I returned to my room to find that some of my personal belongings had mysteriously disappeared: a plastic bag containing premium underwear, and a cardboard cover that protected a pair of premium loafers. The items were simply gone from my room.
When I reported it to the front desk, I was initially told that my things had been found and placed in another room â which was already bizarre and unprofessional. But when I came back later that evening⊠nothing. I asked again, and suddenly the story changed: âWe never saw your bag.â I spoke with the housekeeper myself, who denied touching anything â which is impossible, because no one else could have entered the room.
Bottom line: I was lied to, no one took responsibility, and there was zero transparency. Worst of all, no effort was made to address or compensate for the disappearance. The hotel has ignored my emails and refuses to offer any kind of resolution. Absolutely...
Read moreI have stayed in this hotel already few times because I had no other option. During that time I have seen positive and negative sides of this hotel and trust me, it is not worthy to stay here. When you chose hotel you look at location, standard, food, internet connection and other miscellaneous things. First location, it is pretty far from the city centre, of course it is quiet here but to get to airport/centre you need at least 30-40 min. If it goes to the standards, depends what you get. A lot of the rooms are dark and small like a rather prison than a place where you would like to rest after work/site seeing. Nest, food - repetitive and not tasty - every breakfast looks exactly this same, after one week you are fed with it. If you order other food for a dinner be prepared to have your salt and pepper because it has no taste. Basicly I could forget other things if they got good internet connection for skype/youtube but they don't. This is biggest issue here - during my stay in Madrid I had to use internet for work, not to mention personal use, like talking with your family. It was disaster. They got like 5 Mbps connection for all people staying at hotel. Imagine how it works when you have 40 people staying at hotel... I wish I can chose other hotel where they got at least good internet connection... Hope my opinion helps...
Read more2 nights there. Very nice checking, eye-contact, body language, speech, correct approaching and fast. I felt welcome. The hotel: I loved the kind like dark-atmosphere, it's not a sun-like bright hotel, it's elegant and classic. Don't expect cheap Chinese LEDs ON every corner. Furniture and colors are very inviting to a relaxed state of mind. The room was big enough, classical furniture, 2 comfy armchairs, heavy and blocking light curtains do the job. Bed, quite comfy and big. Wrong pillows. I would have enjoyed more if a 3rd (extra) bed wasn't there. Is the idea to make me feel more lonely? :-) Reception made a cock-up. I'm single traveler, I booked for 2. I didn't bother to ask to remove Soundproofing: once you step out of the lift: no echo on large aisle. Carpets floors all over, solid furniture plus all the surrounding trees makes the trick. Once inside the room: you hear next door people having a conversation, doors opening. Seriously! It really sucks! I went ill, upset stomach and I didn't felt relaxed to use the closed as much as needed. On the other hand: the adults games? How to manage it? Mute on?Parking is super. It's approved even for those with only 2 remaining points on theirs driving license. :-)I would come back as a single traveler. My greetings to the cleaning staff. Good...
