This hotel is falsely advertised as a 5 star experience. If you’re looking for a solid 3 star hotel with decent rooms and acceptable service, then this is your spot. We came here for our honeymoon looking for luxury, and this place is FAR from it.

The moment we walked in, we were met with a receptionist who was very unkind. A 20% discount code was incorrectly applied to my reservation by my credit card and he INSISTED angrily that we have to pay the difference. This was with knowing that we were on our honeymoon. I did ultimately pay the difference. A 5 star hotel would’ve AT LEAST offered a congratulations. He said nothing, didn’t apologize for the error, didn’t offer a glass of champagne or anything of that nature. It was a very inappropriate way to speak to any couple, especially one who is on a honeymoon.

The rooms are NOT 5 star quality. They are basically DIY-ed. There are giant paint chips from floor to ceiling. There are scuff marks on other walls. The caulking in the bathroom is messy. The grouting and tiling is awful. Being in the hotel room made us SHOCKED that this was 5 stars. Throughout most of the day (and parts of the night) there was an extremely loud noise (HVAC? Plumbing?) that literally shook the entire room every 10 minutes or so. We disliked it so much, we couldn’t wait to leave. It truly dampened what should’ve been an amazing time for us.

The parking they state on their instagram as “stylish.” No. It’s a regular underground lot that’s extremely narrow and requires a passenger to step out of the car and help navigate what should be a one way passageway.

The service is useless. I e-mailed ahead asking for the hotel to make us a reservation at a restaurant in a specific area of Oviedo. They did not. They simply sent me a list of recommended places with corresponding phone numbers and left me to my own devices.

Sure, it has a nice lobby and facade. But that’s all. The location is just okay. The service is not okay. The room is serviceable at best but can’t be slept in or relaxed in because of noise.

I do not recommend this hotel. It is absolutely falsely advertised and a huge disappointment. We spent 2 weeks in Asturias and Basque Country in 5 star hotels and this was by...

Our experience started off well. Check in was friendly and smooth, hotel beautifully decorated, very clean and room very comfortable. The staff in the bar were excellent and we enjoyed drinks there. However, we were unable to sleep on the first night as the room was so hot. There was no cold air function on the room temperature control, only a heat function. We opened the window but the noise from outside was too much. Went to reception first thing the next morning, explained that we had not slept and the room was uncomfortably hot. The receptionist told us that they were in "winter mode" and no air conditioning was available, it had not yet been "turned on" for the summer. We told her that we could not spend another night in that room and she said that there was nothing she could do. She gave no apology and was in no way helpful or friendly. We asked if it would be possible to change rooms and she said no rooms had aircon. She said she would make a note of it, and that was it! When we returned later that day we checked again. A different receptionist (male) was more helpful and much nicer but he also said that they were in "winter mode". (for the record it was 27 degrees that day). We told him that this was totally unacceptable for a five star hotel. He immediately offered us a different room on a different floor, which had air-conditioning! Despite this being a very beautiful hotel this whole experience with the room and in particular the way we were spoken to and treated at reception left a very sour taste in our mouths and I honestly would not stay there again. On check out, incredibly, we were not even asked how our stay was! The main reason for writing this review is to advise anyone else who might have the same issue whilst staying there to stand your ground and not accept their attempts to fob you off and lie to you about what I consider to be a basic service. Five star design but not five...

We are furious about the false advertisement because as a family of four (my mom and my two brothers and sisters) we like to share the same room, as we usually do, as we do not see each other very often. When we booked, it said on the website ONE ROOM and two nights for 530,95€. It was perfect for us except that when we arrived at the hotel a very disrespectful receptionist announced that it would be two « communicated » rooms. But in fact it was two separated rooms next to each other and "connected" by a small hall/corridor. Unbelievable ! We couldn’t go into the other room without actually getting out of our own room. Did you ever see two communicated rooms that could only be accessed outside rather than inside the rooms. We even need different keys to enter the rooms. Very disappointed. And don’t let me started on the restaurant. It’s New Year’s Eve I get it but it said that the restaurant will open at 9pm and they displayed their menu on the window so we waited then called the front desk to book a reservation except that it’s closed because of New Year’s Eve unless we wanted to eat the already prepared New Year’s Eve meal. Some of us can’t eat meat so that certainly wasn’t going to be possible. Since every restaurant in the city was closed or fully booked we ended up eating in a Chinese restaurant. The parking is 17€ and the lift is only accessible from the underground level 2 and 4 from the parking. These were only some example of what went wrong. There’s so more to say about it... The hotel is very nice outside and inside but the service is a disaster. Huge...

It's definitely worth the value. We stayed for just one night to explore Oviedo, but we truly enjoyed it. Upon check-in, we upgraded to a room with a tub and we were pleasantly surprised to see how it was designed - as if a walk-in closet with separate shower, toilet, and a nice tub with a glass window to the bedroom. The bed and the pillows were very comfortable, you don't wanna get out of this bed. The overall decor is very pleasant, nice colors. The restaurant onsite has a good variety of choices, the ambience is very nice, and the staff was very courteous and polite. The breakfast venue was great as well, with many options to choose from. The location is nice, close proximity to the old city and center. A very pleasant experience!

Room was nice, clean. Dental kit, vanity kit and shaving kit provided. Breakfast buffet is well-stocked, with added options from the kitchen, and the staff very helpful. Tip: See picture, entry by the coffee machine. In addition to a hidden drawer of Schär-product (croissants, crackers, cereal bars, different types of chocolate bars), the kitchen will heat up gluten free mini-baguettes with crunchy crust (Betina) in 10 minutes upon request. Suitable for single travellers. A year had passed and I’ve had another great stay. The only drawback is the insistent and overpowering signature scent they use in the reception area. If you have asthma or are sensitive to smells: Avoid.

If you are coming to Oviedo, this is the place to stay. In a super cool building combining old world charm with modern amenities, the rooms are spacious and comfortable and the breakfast buffet plentiful and tasty. There is so much to see and do in Oviedo. Do not miss an opportunity to visit. The parks, the old town, the friendly people, the many cool statues, the traditional marching bagpipe band on weekends, the city orchestra at the gazebo in San Francisco park on Sundays, and taking in a soccer game at the Real Oviedo stadium all make for an authentic local and unforgettable experience.
