Repic Apartments Soller — Hotel in Sóller

I was worried at first when I booked as there was only 1 review, but this apartment is fabulous and I highly recommend it.

Apartment Amazing apartment, it's modern, clean and new. Just like the pictures. Small hob, microwave oven with basics utensils, washing liquid, bin bags and cleaning cloth. They also provide tuppaware boxes. Large fridge and plenty of storage. Good walk in shower (but toilet and showers have glass doors with large gaps). Big comfy beds with a balcony. Aircon worked well. We had mountain views and it was lovely, can look round the building at the seafront anyway.

Lovely touches to welcome us (beach towels, handwritten note, tote bag, a comforter for the child).

Only downside is there's no real table to sit at to eat.

Location Convenient location with a playground behind and the beach opposite the apartments. There is a car park behind the apartment, but need to arrive early for a space. Free parking 7pm-10am.

Service/communication We were kept informed throughout, communicated by email and organise our bed layouts easily.

The check-in process is online based, easy to take pictures of your passport and sign, but they need your email address first to send you the forms to complete. Since I booked with hotels.com I initially started the chat through hotels.com app. It blocks out email addresses (displays as -----@------- so they need you to type it with spaces in order to proceed). It's a shame the details weren't passed on via hotels.com.

I wasn't sure about check out but the cleaners took our room cards.

Personal recommendations Try the restaurants further up the port rather than beach front - Es Raco D'es Port is tasty and well-priced. Buy tickets on the wooden tram (but pricey at €9 for a short ride to soller). The wooden train from soller to palma was €20 and 1hr long, worth the trip. We took the 204...

We booked a deluxe sea view apartment on the first floor, with great views across the bay. Although it was Festival weekend with live music on the other side of the bay, and lots of bars and restaurants on the doorstep, it didn't feel unpleasantly noisy. The sun doesn't reach the balcony until about 4.30pm, so great for a shady breakfast and/or lunch, and watching the sunset with a glass of wine.

The apartments are nicely furnished to a high standard, very modern and clean. The kitchen is small, the sink tiny, so it's not really designed for catering on a large scale, but fine for the occasional small meal. Tip: if you can't find the kettle and toaster, they're hidden in a kitchen base unit which doesn't have a handle. The WC/shower are built in behind the bed head wall, with a door either side, one to the WC/sink, the other to the shower. Another tip: pull the shower control forward, just turning it does nothing!

It's about a 12-15 minute walk to the bus stops for buses to Valdemossa, Soller, Pollensa and Palma and a few paces to the historic tram stop (nice to do once, but expensive as a general means of transport to Soller). The beach is also a few steps away, and the sea was very...

Das Repic Apartments besteht aus einem einzelnen Haus welches zentral in Port de Sóller direkt in erster Strandreihe an der Promenade und dennoch recht ruhig gelegen ist (abends aber auch mal (Live)Musik zu hören). Es gibt vier Etagen für die Zimmer. Im Erdgeschoss befindet sich noch ein Restaurant, Fahrstuhl, Checkin Schalter und Toiletten. Das Repic bietet Wifi an - das funktioniert auch gut. ||Verpflegung gibt es nicht - somit auch kein Frühstück. Aber entlang der Promenade und auch direkt nebenan an gibt es Bäcker und Restaurants (genau nebenan ein super guter und günstiger Bäcker / Frühstücksrestaurant). Mitarbeiter wie in Hotels oder Apartmentanlagen gibt es nicht. Ab und an trifft man eine Mitarbeiterin, welche sich um versch. Dinge kümmert oder bringt. ||Zimmer (wir hatten Meerblick Deluxe - 402 ganz oben) sind wirklich schön und stylisch, haben alles notwendige und sind sauber. Im Wohnzimmer gab es eine Ausziehcouch, welche wir aber nicht genutzt haben. Bett im Schlafzimmer leider kein Kingsize (weiche Matratze) aber notfalls ausreichend sogar mit Baby. Küche neu und stylisch mit neuen und modernen Geräten. Küchenutensilien waren etwas knapp, für unsere Bedarfe aber total ausreichend. ||Weitere Infos: Kleiner Wäscheständer auf dem Balkon, Tresor/ Safe im Zimmer, Strandhandtücher vorhanden, Bademantel gestellt, Check out bis 11:00 Uhr, genügend Parkplätze in den Straßen um das Hotel - kostenpflichtig. Empfehlung: nutzt EasyPark als App. Einige Automaten nutzen nur Münzen. Tagesgebühr 7,50 € max. Ansonsten Nespresso Kapsel Maschine, Bügeleisen, Bügelbrett, Staubsauger, Regenschirm, Wifi, Fön, Sonnenterrasse auf dem Dach (Schirme und Liegen), interessantes Lichtkonzept in der Wohnung, Mikrowelle, 2 Zonen Herd, Wasserkocher, Toaster, Kühlschrank. In den Bädern Duschgel und Seife vorhanden, recht weiche Matratze. ||Manko: Design trifft Funktionalität! Alles neu, alles stylisch, alles schick. Aber die Planer und Architekten haben wahrscheinlich nie hier gewohnt. Im Bad keine Haken und kaum Ablageflächen, ob Flur zu Schlafzimmer oder Schlafzimmer zu Wohnzimmer oder Küche gibt es keine Türen. Eingangsbereich ist gleich Schlafzimmer. Es gibt zwei Badräume - eine begehbare Dusche und ein Klo mit Waschbecken. Beide haben Milchglastüren a la Vorhänge in schick (nicht abschließbar, keine Dichtung, nach oben offen und jeweils direkt am Kopfende des Betts). Man hört alles, man riecht alles, man ahnt alles - Vertrauen und Gewohnheit zum Mitbewohner sollte vorhanden sein. Klima nicht bedienbar ohne Studium. Ebenfalls nicht der Behindertenfahrstuhl für die Treppen außen - selbst mit Schlüssel. Das Waschbecken in der Küche ist wunderschön aber eine reine Provokation. Das ist so klein (nichtmal DIN A4 breit) da passt nichtmal ein kleiner Teller rein. Bedeutet beim abwaschen ständig rotieren und nasse Küche. Wer das verbaut und plant, kennt Küchen wahrscheinlich nur aus Erzählungen. Und wo soll man essen?! Kein Tisch mit Stühlen außer auf dem Balkon. Der Checkin an der Maschine kann Nerven kosten - der Scan der Ausweisdokumente lässt einen fast verzweifeln. ||Was unser Baby angeht haben sie sich aber wirklich Mühe gegeben. Babybesteck und Geschirr wurde gebracht, Spielzeug zur Verfügung gestellt, Baby Badehandtuch, Babybett, Babystuhl zur Verfügung gestellt. ||Wir würden wiederkommen allein wegen der Lage, dem Ausblick, den modernen Zimmern. Aber vielleicht halt nur für einen Kurztrip. ||Tipp: Meerblickzimmer! Würde sogar sagen eher Meerblickzimmer als Meerblick Deluxe weil die einen deutlich größeren Balkon haben und die Küche in beiden Kategorien nicht abgetrennt vom...
