Normally I don't give "bad" ratings if I haven't personally pointed out the criticism in the restaurant, but I am very surprised that criticism in the comments of other guests, including my husband's, is not taken up accordingly by the restaurant. I get the impression they don't want to change. We went to this restaurant on our first night in Port de Sóller. Although it was very full, we were not turned away but allowed to sit down. Of course, we were happy about that at first. But unfortunately the service staff was very tense the whole time and not at all friendly. No smile to be seen. I could see that the service staff didn't like the fact that other guests drank their drinks for a long time after the meal. They were constantly thinking about how to accommodate guests or which table would be paid soon, so that other guest can sit there. We didnt wanted bread, olives and aioli. I got the impression that the service personal did not like this. All this did not contribute to a good atmosphere. I felt very uncomfortable. Also we were given a table that was still half set by the previous guest. This was not cleared away, they only added what was missing. Certainly due to the stress, but not correctly. I say nothing in such situations because I would then feel even more uncomfortable being a disruptive element. The food was quite ok, but not in the grandiose quality as presented here by the restaurant. The red Risotto had no fresh tomatos or salads in it. Just risotto rice and sauce. And other as answered to my husband by the restaurant we can very well compare the value for money with other restaurants. Sometimes we spend more and sometimes less money on food. The valuation is then always in relation to the money. For example, I'll give a fast food restaurant 5 stars if it's friendly and the good tastes pretty okay. For the price range that is called for in this restaurant, this is not the case. Here I expect a very high level of friendliness, extremely clean tables and extremely good food. To be honest my experice was so bad, that I wanted to cry out after the meal. It was my first vacation meal and the food was only ok and the service staff made me uncomfortable. In my opinion each restaurant should have the goal to make their guest happy. And if guest are writing comments, that the staff is not so friendly but stressed, they should read between the lines and understand that the staff is not friendly at all. We had paella in Malaga about a month ago, and we did not care for it as it was dry and herbed with too much paprika. Because of this, we have been hesitant to try it again. This was out last night in Majorca, so we thought we'd try it again, and I'm thrilled that we did. It was moist, flavorful and jam packed with seafood. Truly exceptional and beyond expectations.
