Just got back from our 10 night stay at the Roma appts. Much of what I say echoes some of the other reviews. Monsi and her team work tirelessly in their pursuit to accommodate your every need. Yes the rooms are a little dated, but our one-bedroom appt did have a kettle, toaster, iron & board, microwave, TV etc. We didn’t bother hiring the A/C as it wasn’t that hot at night. Also provided was a washing up sponge & liquid, tea-towel, & a washing tab for the washing machine. Only one toilet roll provided but then they’re only 1.45 euros for a pack of 4 in the supermarket. The rooms do not get serviced so there’s no towel replacement during your stay, but we used the washing machine half way through the stay so no issue. Again it’s not clear in the Jet2 description, but all rooms do have a front mini balcony overlooking the hills and a glimpse of the sea, but more importantly, all rooms also have a larger south-facing balcony overlooking the pool area. The pool is great, plenty of sunbeds, always appeared clean. The bar does breakfast options, snacks and main meals. Also a great selection of drinks to suit all tastes. The confusing bit was on arrival, as there is no info from Jet2 as to where to collect your key, and the reception sign is confusing! So just go into the bar below and Monsi will provide you with the keys and registration instructions. The resort is perfect in our eyes, not too busy out of season, but still plenty of places to eat & drink. Fantastic beach that goes on for miles. The beautiful harbour and the main commerce for the town is about a 10-15 minute stroll. Well recommended...
Read moreRoma Apartments are great ! Basic yes but had everything we needed. Montsi the manager at the snack bar and apartments greeted us and we were able to check in straight away. She was lovely all week - really looked after us and made us feel very welcome. |Be aware you need to go to an office on the next street to sign in and get your keys etc Get the air con - it was €20 for a week but it was vert necessary ! Then we could check in straight away which was great and unexpected when we had such an early flight. |Straight down to the snack bar for pizzas and drinks. Pool is lovely but needs parasols for shade which is didn't have so we did spend some days at the beach where is it is €18 per day for 2 sunbeds. The beach is gorgeous ! quiet when we were there too. The area is quiet so if you are looking for nightlife this isn't for you but if you are after a relaxing time then it is perfect. |One night there was a band at the apartments which was good fun and free apart from your drinks of course. |Supermarkets very near and the marina is about a 15/20 minute walk. Shops and more restaurants about a 15 minute walk. All in all a lovely place and the apartments are basic yes but everything you need for a self catering holiday including a...
Read moreThe minute we arrived, I knew we were going to have a lovely holiday. Montsi was so welcoming, and the bar area and pool were lovely. We knew it was a budget property, so it wasn't a surprise that the rooms were basic, but the apt was big enough for all 6 of us. Definitely pay the €3 for the air con - it was a god send. Our balcony looked over the pool, which was lovely to sit at in the evening. The shower had great pressure and endless hot water. The food at the bar was delicious and very reasonably priced. The cocktails were fab as well. The beach is only 50m away and the supermarket is a 2 min walk. The kitchen facilities were great and I often made food for the kids before we went out of dinner. I've been coming to estartit for 20years but always stayed in a caravan. I find now that is is unaffordable for families and there isn't as much activities as there used to be. I think the options you get now for all inclusive luxury resorts would mean I won't be back as we spent just as much money here, but I wouldn't put anyone off staying here. It is a great budget option, close to the airport, a lovey seaside resort and Montsi is an...
