We visited as the 2025 season came to an end at La Sirena, and I have to be honest we really didn't see it at its' best, as pretty much everything other than the main reception building was closed. I'm sure, as recommended by our friends, that in high season the site is much busier and has a lot more to offer. That said it was nice to have fewer people around, quieter and more relaxing, but the convenience of the site shop, restaurant and pool would have been good; but i do understand that visitor numbers aren't enough in October to justify paying staff for such small visitor numbers, mainly for a smattering of 'motorhomers'.
My first observation is that the staff were lovely, really helpful, very friendly and happy. They provided us with recommendations on where to eat and how beat to get around, using our bikes, and the location of the nearest dog friendly beach. So for the staff I'd give it 5 stars but for facilities that were open i'd have to say 3. And this gave the impression of the sute being a little dated, with the grass and lawned areas not having been cut; it could do with a little 'sprucing up'.
It was good value for money, using the ACSI card it was just over €35, and the site is dog friendly which is great.
We were shown to our pitch, and were given a choice of where we wanted to pitch for our short two-night stay. The water point, was convenienly located at the end of our row, comprised two taps, one presto (always painful and time consuming to use) and one traditional 'twist & turn' but with a padlock on, which we had to ask the member of staff to remove so that we could fill up the motorhome with water. The nearest chemical toilet facility was in the nearby showerblock, whilst the grey waste dump was close to the main facilities area, next to the washing machines; convenient for dropping off before leaving the site.
The shower-block that we used was a bit dated but still very clean, despite the lateness of the season. The gate at the far end of the site is very handy, giving easy access to the seafront, nearby beaches and restaurants and bars. Cycling into L'Estartit took no more than 10 minutes.
The pitches aren't individually separated from adjacent pitches by shrubs or hedges, so it is rather open, but there is fencing between the rows, which does offer some privacy. We also needed the full length of our electric cable to reach the power sockets, which were also a little dated, but serviceable.
Overall we found our stay to be relaxing and very convenient for everything that L'Estartit had to offer, and we'd certainly visit La Sirena again, if for no other reason than to see it at its' best and to enjoy everything that it has to offer at slightly busier times.
Level 10 Google reviewer with over 1,300 reviews with 2 million views plus nearly 15,000 photos with more than 65 million views and still going strong 💪.
My reviews aren't sponsored, they're based on mine, and often my wife's experience at an establishment whether that be a shop, restaurant, service or activity, with the aim of highlighting great service plus areas for improvement, if necessary. And boy sometimes it is necessary.

Read moreLarge campsite near to the centre of town. Direct access to the sand beach with lots of restaurants and local bars nearby. Excellent staff with good local knowledge and a true willingness to help. Good sized pitches some with mountain views. Toilet facs clean and tidy but hot water has been an issue in our stay. All positive.... so why 2 stars ?
Anywhere that demands that you pay up in full for your stay on arrival with no possibility of a refund if you leave before your scheduled departure date in my opinion does not understand the principals of low season camping. This protocol certainly doesn't encourage you to explore the area settle into a holiday routine and look to extend your holiday. For the last 23 yrs we have visited over 60 different camping sites across Spain and have never had to pay up front for a predetermined period. Good luck with that idea Nice Camping. The campsite restaurant is a total disaster (Franchised) probably some of the worst food we have ever had the misfortune to be served. The menu is so stereotypical of northern European tastes its embarrassing, really is that what you think we drive over 1500kms to experience.
Great staff, great location wholly undermined by owners who dont seem to...
