In short- a bad experience- they cancelled my room with no prior warning and barely apologized. Everything else in the town was booked full, and I was travelling on my own, with no car, and with a 10 year old child). When I arrived to the hotel at 1:00 am (after a delayed train trip from Barcelona to Madrid, then an Uber to the hotel) I was informed that my room had been cancelled. I had written them the day before saying that I was going to arrive late and not to cancel the room, they said it would be no problem, reception was open 24 hours, and they would charge me once at the hotel. At least they were able to give me a room that night, but the following night it was full and impossible (although they literally had cancelled my reservation 2 hours ago, with no call to warn me). They didn’t apologize and said there was nothing they could do (I had made the reservation months ago and had no means of getting around since we had no car). I barely slept worrying where we would stay the following night (the whole town was booked). The next morning after calling 10 places, I finally found somewhere, no thanks to Reston Valdemoro. To make matter worse, Reston told me that they would probably have a cancellation and to leave my bags there, so I didn’t reserve the other hotel. Reston never called me Back (as promised) and in the end they had no cancellations. So in then had to walk all they way back to the hotel to pick up my luggage to bring it to the new hotel (fortunately it was still available). All in all, a...
Read moreHad a business trip to a customer in Valdemoro and spent 3 nights. ||Rooms were very good, above the three star rating it professes.||Restaurant with a good service, all be it with quite an average offering of menu choices, not exactly exquisite cuisine, more like filling Spanish grub. ||The octopus was ok, the steaks overdone, the seafood very average. ||What lets the hotel down completely is their breakfast. Savory choices included inferior quality cooked ham, a Gruyere type cheese, and that was it. No boiled eggs, or scrambled, or fried, or any other kind. Some croissants and some pastries completed the dire offer. The toaster was not doing its job. One needed to put the bread through at least 3-4 times. ||Location next to a very mediocre shopping centre completes the picture. ||If only for the room and helpful staff it is...
Read moreIve only given a 3 as the location of the hotel didnt suit what were looking for. I booked it based on other travellers reviews. They made it seem like this was a handy stop over point if you arw driving between Bilbao ferry and Andalucia. That wasnt the case unfortunately. The hotel is in a busy suburb town and as we were in a huge van, it was very difficult to navigate. The hotels car park was too tight and we damaged the van 🫣 we saw better options from the motorway for us and booked elsewhere for our return journey. The hotel itself is nice, staff are nice and free tapas at the bar with your beer was a nice touch. Theres plenty of restuarants in the area and it would be a good place to stay if you needed to be...
